Yes, SCRUTABLE.....you have done very well, I'm pleased for you. I was in GDL some time ago, but became disillusioned at the lack of news flow. I was very tempted indeed when they were so low, at 12pish......so obviously I regret dithering now I see them at 26p, well over a 100% gain.

I haven't bought any, just in case the good news and expectation is now built in. But I wish you the best of luck for Monday, you certainly deserve to play 'catch up', or 'get your own back' for your previous losses on IOF. What a shambles that was! I admire your honesty for sharing with others your spreadbet disasters, not many would find the courage to admit it.

So, thank you for the GDL nod, and the very best of luck, I hope it goes your way.

I don't have time to search back, but I introduced GDL to IOF holders here some weeks ago when the share price had bombed to 12p or was it a little earlier?
I was much derided and sg advised you all not to touch it. Embarassing to be super confident when there is a risk of being wrong. The share price to day is 26p. GDL has done far far better than IOF though their continued upward progress is now likely to be more equal.

You have a few minutes left to buy a token holding before the week closes and GDL reports on Monday morning.

The share price tells you how good the news should be. I don't have enough minutes to tell you more than that a move into India is likely to be enlarged upon. There may be definitive news on the launch on the Singapore Exchange. There is likely to be news of 180 more wells to drill for GDG, and more exciting than tha,t possible contracts from one or more Chinese supermajors (O&G).

Read the GDL thread. You may be upset at not having acted before.

I regret that this comes so late in the day

Gene Savin aka N3tley - have you ever sought psychiatric help? Do you really only have $793 to your name? What are your cats called?

Anyone else found out more about sad, disassociative personality Gene Savin?

IOF is likely to trend up from here, next stop is 200p.

If it does take a breather, 175p should be support IMHO.

jam, i switched available funds from t trading iof to t trading QFI (to add shares to long term holding i might add). Im keeping my investments in both companies split 65/35 with the majority in QFI. Both will come good.

There should be no reason why hydro testing can't be carried out before the electrical hookup. The testing is to test the integrity of the pipework and vessels including welded and flanged joints. The system is filled with water and once all air is vented out it is pumped up to pressure using an independent pump. It's then held at a certain pressure for a stipulated period of time then the pressure is dropped. Hopefully it will be done before hookup thus saving two valuable days to commissioning and production.

jam i guess it will take a few weeks for all the interested parties to start buying in, it could be some are waiting for a drop back after the 20% spike. To be safe i have closed off my t20, another 450 shares added to the pot, got b/e down to 173p. Finally crawled back into profit. Huzzah. But if there is a drop back it wont be for long. I was hoping for £4 by Christmas (when i thought 1500 tons per year would be our 2013 exit rate), we wont get that now on output alone but £2-2.50 is likely as more positive rns are released. Thrice Huzzah :-)
