from a conversation with Lance after the meeting...

IOF chose to list on AIM because the costs in the US are too high for a small company. They do have US clients buying from USA brokers ( netley kindly pointed to trades on the pink sheets some weeks ago) but are not allowed to present direct to PIs. They intend to start road shows to US brokers this Autum.

They realise that stock is in short supply and the several insti presentations this week around the country should create a demand which can't easily be met. I took it that this was a deliberate attempt to get the price up.

So it's not senior debt, okay, good question monts. That means they'll flood the market with discounted shares when this can't be repaid or converted.

In today's RNS it states

"Multiple site contract won with one of the largest oil and gas operators in the US".

Did anyone ask today who this large oil and gas operator is and it's significance in terms of contract value?

Sorry to leave everyone hanging with my earlier comment but I saw there were no reports and thought a titbit was better than nothing (I was in a taxi going to another presentation).

In response to retiree asking about 750-1000mt annualised rate seeming rather low compared to previous indications, CF responded (and I'm paraphrasing), "If I said it would be 1500mt and then we only delivered 1000mt, you'd give me a rollocking wouldn't you?" - retiree answered in the affirmative and CF rested his case.

Patent awarded RNS for mobile units will be announced imminently.

The rest others have covered. Nice share price reaction today but we need more follow through before we consolidate, so hopefully the other II presentations will lead to more buying over the next week or so.

Many thanks monts for your post on the questions asked.

Interesting comment "I think we have to RNS each new plant".

If that turns out to be right then we are hopefully in for a lot of RNS's as they roll out each mobile unit which I envisage will be many.

One of the factors which set this company apart from those others which were taken over is the pace at which production can be scaled up.If nothing is to be done until IOF have proved that they can produce 1000mt pa we're saying there'll be no consideration of an approach before next April/May. How long will it take to put a bid together? If they go into the H2 IOF will have 9 plants not 6.If they go beyond September then the 2014 H1 results will be published and they will be stellar. Do you seriously think the share price will be less than £6 by then? What will a predator have to pay then? £10+ I would think. All speculation. £6 looks far too low to me. I don't think any of us will be disappointed!

Per LB: When comparing an 18 month discounted valuation against a 10 year discounted valuation, at some point lines will be drawn which will ultimately cross, and the price will be right. It was confirmed by LB that no iodine company , producing more than 1,000mt had not been taken over, which corroborated Jeff Ploens previous statement.

Jamonit,

I don't think CF, lance and the crew would settle for £6.
