The ceo appointment propelling the share price downwards today. Wasn't it meant to be going the other way? 130p next week I reckon.

The difference being on these presentations is that they will be talking about plants delivered and being built, rather than plans to build plants in the future.

With io3 due v soon and the other 3 being built, it doesn't look like we are talking delays.

They said one very two months on average for 2014.

At some point in the near future the do will open to water revenue too.

If I dumped iodine and just talked the full water potential, then it's a great company to invest in.

If we stopped at 1500mt, which in my book can be achieved by io2 to 6 and just, then we still have a bargain.

Having done a bit more digging re water recently, I understand what is going on, and why 100k bpd per state became 200k bpd.

Well said Warrensearle. Fully agree about chem division. Could surprise the market.

square1 lets hope iofina pull a rabbit out of the hat that spokes the bears. If not happy to wait while the roll of plant proceeds as here for the long term.

Square that's fine in terms of the roll out but also in the results we will see how the chem division (route to market) is doing - CF said at the last presentation they dont anticipate having to buy in iodine ever again - the doc also talks about triple digit revenue growth - so lets see how they are doing. There are two important factors roll out is progressing and on track .. Chem division is growing sales - entering new markets and still of the view they never need to externally source iodine again ... Will make interesting reading

TBH next wednesday is going to be fairly predictable IMO. The bears will say look they're still loss making whilst bulls will point to the inflection point for the business with completion of IO3 and reiteration of 4-6 builds on schedule for YE. The 'new' IOF starts from H2 2013 as we get IO2 on full speed and 3,4,5 & 6 built. So it comes down to a creibility issue- do the markets believe the forward guidance. If they do, we rise, if they don't then they will wait a little longer to ensure delivery on 4, 5 or 6.

jamonit, i went out most of yesterday, came back to find about 5 posts, I thought this is eery. I switched on the news half expecting "aliens have landed" or "Israel has nuked Syria" or something! Although i did see a German news article headline quoting the Bank of International Settlements in Switzerland that the economy is crashing in a recent quarterly news release.

Just heard that someone else is keen to talk to IOF and have arranged for a meeting next week.

They have already put IOF as a buy.

indeed Noli - as confirmed in Operational Update 1/8/13

"Iofina has updated and expanded its Iodine Extraction Agreement with one of the largest independent oil and gas producers in the US, most significantly, now covering four separate locations. In addition, this agreement provides a unique mechanism to rapidly add additional locations providing a growth path for future expansion. Based on the Company's exploration and sampling program, Iofina has already identified several locations beyond the four committed sites. Through this on-going exploration, the Board is pleased to announce the discovery of multiple sites with extremely high iodine concentrations. The Company is developing a unique Hydrosorb processing unit to match the characteristics of these sites. This plant will be able to produce significant volumes of iodine without the expense of processing large water volumes. The Company is also in the process of developing its Mobile and MaxSorb units to meet the needs of additional production profiles."

Thinking of the plants and the brines available, IO#2 was a purchased site by iof with brines from the hunton, so iof would have had to get new brines to the plant. Hence it has taken a little longer than most thought.

Going forward, this won't be a problem as the swd's will already have the brines at the location so i would expect a much quicker delivery for the plants to be running at full tilt or close to that.

Thinking back to the informex earlier in the year, a comment was made re sweet. That imho was weil meeting iof at the informex exhibition, so if that was the case is something brewing with regarding the iof acreage.

Nice to see a few realising what I was going on about re helium. Yes Bo is the lead for helium and he spotted the potential way before most.#

There was one other in the US on the hunt for helium, spyglass energy, but they had to drill about 10,000 feet on the hunt, but not Montana.

Helium is viable commercially if it is more than .3% saturations, the Rudyard/Montana resource is 1% saturations.

The Sweetgrass arch is the key being the deep fault that created the right circs for the creation of helium. The arch runs up to the Canadian border from it's southern end where the weil 1 well is. IOF will have a decent amount of acreage there, and all around Brainstorm.

For the Weil 1 well they mentioned 2 billion cf of helium and were to drill another early this year.

As you know in that well they had oil shows on the Nisku and that may open up as an oil play.

Interestingly as Noli found, they are doing a wildcat well on the Nisku way over in Roosevelt county. Perhaps testing the extent of the Nisku potential.

That's how i am reading the rns SG, IO#6 is now being built, 60 days to build and 30 days to commission. So the end of December for that one, all on track.

Nice find re breaking news on the Helium front Eeza - Check this out - hxxp://www.tester.senate.gov/?p=press_release&id=3054

Guess what? - Our Senator in Montana - Jon Tester - has been strongly lobbying for that very same result which your link has now confirmed as being passed by the US Senate

Now I don`t claim to know all the ins & outs re US Helium policy - except for the fact that it is a rare & increasingly valuable resource - but I do know a little about how the USA works politically - We all do

Answer this dear reader - Which company is a prime USA private sector mover & shaker in the Helium industry? - Thats right, an outfit called Weil Energy led by a chap called Bo Sears - a very recent expert witness to the US Senate committee for Natural Resources & specifically called there to talk about Helium & its likely future shortage

Now where is Weil Energys likely (I mean sole) prospect for extracting Helium in the USA to be found? - Yes thats right - Rudyard County, Montana - on a few acres of property owned by a little outfit called Brainstorm Energy

Now lets put 2 & 2 together - A Montanan based Helium company undoubtably backed by the Montanan Senator have managed (with 1 or 2 others possibly) to get the US Senate to back a certain policy re Helium affecting the whole of the USA going forward

Good news for Weil Energy & the Senators election expenses/local jobs/whatever, you might reckon? - A given in all likelihood!

And here`s the rub - Which company do you think owns all the mineral/helium rights etc around Weils tiny prospect in Montana?

You just have to love this little outfit we are invested in.........

Watch this space - as someone else here likes to say
