19/9/2013 10:19 | To me the following extract is even more reassuring than the CEO appointment. "During his time with Iofina Resources, Inc. Mr Lantz helped achieve a daily record iodine production. Mr Lantz was also responsible for financial controls, business development, and managed the build-out of the Group's IO#3, and the on-going construction of IO#4, IO#5, and IO#6, iodine extraction plants based on Iofina's WET(R) IOsorb(TM) technology". | ![]() roundup

19/9/2013 10:07 | The fact that the CEO is an internal appointment, and aged 62, leads me to believe only one thing. That a takeover will be very nicely timed for our new CEO. What young, dynamic possible CEO would be interested in taking on a new position, when someone is whispering in his ear....."you won't be here long". | ![]() worraps
19/9/2013 09:43 | Long term holder from 27p and agree with Hew. Filter is very useful tool and this type of engagement defeats its effectiveness | ![]() garfield31
19/9/2013 09:41 | Wasn't this share price meant to soar on the announcement of a new ceo. Another rampastic prediction in the bin. | shonny
19/9/2013 09:40 | No, Hew, you are not! | roboben
19/9/2013 09:36 | Market somewhat disappointed with what is basically an internal candidate. I suspect they looked outside to make sure there was no one better than Lantz who has obviously being doing a brilliant job (hence the offer) and have put together an attractive package to bring him on board. IMO all bodes well in terms of progress/delivery to-date and positioning for the future. Certainly looking forward to the 25th! | ![]() jacobeano
19/9/2013 09:33 | Good RNS - nice that they dropped the snippet re io3 + 4/5/6 in. Well done SG - you've shown a lot of patience the last few months! | ![]() eddyeagle1979
19/9/2013 09:30 | There seems to be an increasing tendency here (formerly strongly discouraged) of engaging with Netlything, whatever, and even quoting from his pernicious rubbish. Am I the only one to have blanked him, almost from his appearance, who finds this change annoying? | ![]() hew
19/9/2013 09:25 | So IO2 might be the 'monster' it has been referred to after all..... Hope the doubters are ready to fall of their chairs! | ![]() diggulden

19/9/2013 09:16 | My feelings are that he won't have to wait until he is, shall we say, 65, before we are bought out anyway...! | ![]() warmsun
19/9/2013 09:15 | "From very low to 1000mt rates in months, in the iodine sector, is stunning" only one co. capable of that.....the ping? changing the world of iodine forever. | ![]() jointer13
19/9/2013 09:14 | Oh dear, seems the market isn't as enthusiastic about this appointment as posters here would have you believe ... wonder why? Erm, he's the wrong man for the job. ... And it's taken you this long to find him? Sell the stock as hard as you can ... you'll see why soon enough. Have a great day y'all :) | n3tleylucas
19/9/2013 09:13 | 62 is old enough to have judgement and experience and young enough to have the vigour to get things done. | ![]() meadow2
19/9/2013 09:13 | You'll never please everyone all the time. Had they employed some young go getter the bears would complain they don't have enough experience for the job. Employ a seasoned professional with lots of experience they state they don't have enough get up and go! Clearly we don't want them to employ someone purely for the figurehead potential and pay some outrageous salary, that's not the IOF way. I also see this as possibly being a marker of their expectation to be bought out in the next few years. Difficult to get some high profile younger guy if the plan is to sell however an seasoned operator at age 62 sounds a great opportunity for someone to finish his career on a big high with massive company growth followed by a successful sale and a big boost to the retirement fund! Hoping the Market will react in the expected manner today and push this share price past 150 resistance for good! GLA | ![]() hotr0d
19/9/2013 09:11 | Very happy with the appointment, the guy has already been doing the job for the last few months, under the watchful eye of Lance no doubt. A little tease regarding IO3 build being finished, that one is certainly on track as indicated in the last update. All set up for a bumper couple of weeks regarding the share price 150 should provide the new base for the next leg up. 2 weeks worth of presentations coming up as well, historically that has always meant a very positive reaction from the share price | ![]() diggulden

19/9/2013 09:10 | Oh yes, what a daft comment. How many experienced CEO's in iodine production in the US are there to choose from? | ![]() superg1
19/9/2013 09:08 | Retiree the key point is he knows IOF backwards anyway. Watch what happens re comments in the iodine sector, once IOF become a material producer. That is just a few months away as io2 ramps up and io3 to 6 join in. From very low to 1000mt rates in months, in the iodine sector, is stunning. | ![]() superg1 |
