03/10/2014 18:40 | I'm more excited about how profitable we will be when iodine starts rising. | ![]() che7win
03/10/2014 18:27 | That's the bit that market just doesn't get yet. There has been far too much focus on missed targets which has blinded everyone to just how profitable Iofina will be when it has finished tweaking. | ![]() woodpeckers
03/10/2014 18:17 | It perhaps tells us that this company can be very profitable indeed when everything settles down | ![]() woolybanana
03/10/2014 18:09 | Considering the poor production figures... That's pretty amazing really. | ![]() 1madmarky
03/10/2014 18:04 | Double checked that $7,500,000 figure for current cash mentioned in the latest interview. It's correct, that's up from $6,270,754 at the end of June, cash has been building over summer. | ![]() che7win
03/10/2014 17:09 | Superg, The shareholder destruction is breathtaking for RB, I feel sorry for their shareholders. Someone will benefit from it, they are going to have to stop lithium operations temporarily. It's a shame the lithium side has destroyed the company, they took it over only last year. As for the iodine business, why did they stop supplying last year, they should have been keeping inventories at a minimum as it was an asset losing value. Unlike here where we have sold all we produced. They had a nice wee business in Chile, who gets it at fire sale prices, someone will. | ![]() che7win
03/10/2014 17:08 | Tom's certainly having a baptism of fire in his new role with two public interviews in two days - good experience for him, no doubt, and great for the company. Just shows they can do PR when they feel they are ready to do so. Bring it on! | ![]() madchick
03/10/2014 16:31 | Che Re RB They stopped supplying any iodine in H2 2013. They built up an inventory of around 800mt and produced 632mt in H1 this year. They sold 130mt more than they produced in H1. Overall that's a sudden 1432 mt available on the market or a near 5% of the market being dropped in when an over-supply situation was around. Hopefully the news means they are a contributing factor to the recent price drop as they scramble to sell iodine to get cash. It may all end soon. | ![]() superg1
03/10/2014 16:28 | Knowing our luck the fruit is probably olives - we are going to grow our own oil that won't get disturbed by fracking. | ![]() spike_1
03/10/2014 16:16 | No, he means hairy nuts, as in walnuts before they are ripe! | ![]() woolybanana
03/10/2014 15:54 | He actually said short hanging fruit and later on low hanging fruit. He's obsessed with the term, wonder if it was apples or oranges? | ![]() che7win
03/10/2014 15:49 | As long as he gets the message across I think we can let him off Zendo. Must be a bit nerve wrecking doing these interviews for the first time. He comes across as a genuine guy though which is important for the image of the company. | ![]() woodpeckers
03/10/2014 15:49 | Short hanging conjures up another vision entirely, as my wife has just reminded me! TFC | ![]() the fat controller
03/10/2014 15:45 | I just wish the fruit was low-hanging rather than short-hanging. Anyway, glad we've got a chemist rather than a linguist in charge! | ![]() zendo102
03/10/2014 15:42 | I don't want RB energy written off, it would be nice if they could continue in weakness. October 03, 2014 RB Energy Provides an Update on Financing Efforts VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwir The Company continues its efforts to complete the Offering and at the same time is in discussions with its bankers and other stake holders to consider alternative options, including a temporary shutdown of operations at its Quebec Lithium project. There is no assurance that the Company will be able to complete the Offering or arrange alternate sources of funding. 03/10/2014 15:39 | Yes, Some interesting info in the interview, amazed that cash is increasing, I thought the two new plants would consume cash short term. Also good to hear from the company themselves that the extra fracking this year will increase brine supply down the line, at some stage the fracking issues will be a thing of the past, they don't always spell that out. Working with operators and SWD provders will help, short term with the onset of winter it will curtail. He's also correct on the operations activities, cash consumption just over $500,000 on that, not hard to switch cash flow positive from here as Tom stated. The Chemical halogen business seems to be expanding well via R&D producing new products, he mentioned environmental remediation. New plants will be at the ideal locations. Love all this short hanging fruit :-) | ![]() che7win
03/10/2014 15:37 | Here you go Bog (RB Energy) | ![]() monts12
03/10/2014 15:26 | Great job Tom, keep it up, this is what we need, a face to the company that is happy to tell the market what great potential there is here. Lance has done/is doing a great job but the company has suffered from lack of exposure IMO. Perhaps they just feel that the time is right to start promoting themselves more. | ![]() woodpeckers
