30/9/2014 10:48 | The DNRC guidance was to expect a decision to be announced three months after the hearing. Now looking back through the various stages of the application, three months for updates has been the norm more or less, so I'm generally expecting the outcome to be announced mid october. | ![]() bogg1e
30/9/2014 10:46 | I've done a lot of reading on the topic, hence weeks ago I was saying I couldn't find anything about 90 days timelines and it could take months. They are a law unto themselves and the only comparison I can think of is the anal planning processes (and staff at times) that exist over here. It's go-slow Montana, summer comes and goes, and they forget to put the patio furniture out. The water law is set though, and in my book IOF have it all covered. They are doing no different to every other permit awarded, so how can it be refused in full. | ![]() superg1
30/9/2014 10:41 | Agree superg, though it doesn't guarantee success, and it's frustrating that there is no deadline... it seems clear that for some reason the authorities don't *want* to award us the energy permit, but hopefully they will *have* to... | ![]() cyberbub
30/9/2014 10:37 | Have a read of the water update, it's looks like they are confident they have all the boxes ticked from what they have said. | ![]() superg1
30/9/2014 10:31 | Knowing them it's probably high ppm, and right under the noses of the Japanese in OK. | ![]() superg1
30/9/2014 10:15 | Yes Jeff and Lance were like Cheshire cats, as if they had picked up the crown jewels for a fiver at a car boot sale. | ![]() 1madmarky
30/9/2014 10:14 | I have always said that the IP of the IOsorb technology must be worth at least 50p per share, and probably a good bit more? At these share prices that means the extraction and derivatives companies are valued at zero...All IMO... | ![]() cyberbub
30/9/2014 10:10 | Chumbo Yes, 82,000 acres in the core area is a hell lot of wells to choose from. I'd still love to know what was in Jeff's head when he was muttering on about some very good releases acquired around the time of the AGM. | ![]() superg1
30/9/2014 09:34 | Get back in your hole , your behaviour last night was a disgrace , you called it wrong. | stevo2011
30/9/2014 09:32 | Into your hole with Heartwell. Have a relief cuddle lol | ![]() captain_kurt
30/9/2014 09:24 | So, as I suspected and posted yesterday... not as bad as you expected? You must look at the full year to really see this 'business' properly. There may well be a relief rally here, but it will be somewhat half-hearted as further glitches and excuses take us to another poor FY and inevitable funding. Have some fun though, while you can. | arlington chetwynd talbot
30/9/2014 09:24 | Mad Exactly Get the costs down, consolidate their position and then move on. A very healthy cash balance to do so. Like you I note the odd dig. The old team just put plants in, not thinking about the overall economics when better sites were available in some circs. That brings us right back to the old line of it's bpd x ppm not the number of plants. I see the old hyper ppm wells get a mention, but it seems the collective bpd would need to be over 3k bpd. If there is brine available at 3k bpd at hyper rates then happy days. Hyper = 2000-5000ppm (that was the range mentioned). I'd be surprised if they have 3k plus areas of hyper ppm but you never know with all this recent drilling. Certainly 200ppm to 1000ppm was mentioned at the AGM for pod sites. | ![]() superg1
30/9/2014 09:11 | Couldn't get my post to take on LSE, so here were my immediate thoughts, FWIW A rather muted RNS, I thought. I was a bit surprised to see Lance rather than Becker commenting in the RNS, but I don't suppose it really matters either way. His comments come across as still very angry about G and G's management. Hopefully the company has now picked itself up again and will move back to where it was before that fiasco. Financially, the company seems secure and with increasing production moving forward, it should get better. It sounds as if there will be a period of consolidation before expansion but at least expansion is clearly on the agenda and they seem to be wishing to add both plants and mobiles "The Company is using the net proceeds to strengthen its cash position as it looks at expanding its production base with other IOsorb® and mobile IOsorb® plants that are strategically placed." Interesting that our CEO, previous IOF Cheimcal guy, is now using the term "halogen speciality company" to describe IOF Chemical. If they hadn't recently done a lot of consolidation between IOF Chemical and IOF Resources, I would be wondering if they wanted to run it as an entirely separate entity with the emphasis away from simply iodine. Anyway, that's obviously not the case, but maybe they just want to stress that the Chemical side does not rely solely on the success of the iodine side. They mention several times about becoming a global leader, which is ambitious and should be achievable in years to come. They are being very coy about IOF Chemical with not much detail. Likewise about timing for expansion - it's clearly on the agenda, but it's also clear that they wish to consolidate first. Maybe caution is good with an aim to surprise to the upside? Let's hope so, for once! They are also being cautious about what they say about leasing - I keep on thinking this is finished, but it seems to carry on indefinitely! Good to have a bit of detail on the water and I guess we'll just have to wait for the decision. I think they could have been more bullish about iodine prices moving forward, but I suspect this is just part of IOF's more cautious tone moving forward.. I liked the concluding sentence under Outlook The Board looks forward to updating shareholders on the Company's continued growth, expansion of iodine production facilities and maximising shareholder value. They don't say updating us on the strategy for expansion, but updating us on the (actual) expansion. The continued growth is also a good statement and is hopefully easily achievable. With enough cash behind them, the cost of designing new mobiles behind them, reduced costs, optimisation of plants, the next year should finally see IOF moving on its way again. IMO! | ![]() madchick

30/9/2014 08:34 | Good morning chaps. ! On the way back from the airport - the telling figure for me is that cash balances remain healthy and the company has stopped burning cash . Also news about the mobile which I think are the way forward . Well done lance and team. Where's netters !! | mister big
30/9/2014 08:34 | Che I've seen some stupid rats in my time, but that one trying to use scare tactics post market close and pre the news takes the top prize. What a ....... If you want to play the games of lies, you need to do it in the run up to news to frighten investors, not the night before news when the market is closed. Sadly the worldwide numpty count continues. | ![]() superg1

30/9/2014 08:31 | can someone please explain why IOF repeatedly is subject to auction? Thanx | p3t3rb
30/9/2014 08:25 | I understand IOF are over here so those that matter will get answers over the next day or two (or 3). I think there is a CEO interview coming up shortly available to watch online, more on that if it looks set to happen. | ![]() superg1 |
