The formal results will presumably be out tmrw or friday. In theory they are now irrelevant after todays RNS which has given much more up to date info. I expect the MMs will takr the oppo to knock it down further though.I wonder whether the mgt should have perhaps focused a bit more on the mobile units rather than relying on fixed units which are then at the mercy of operators' programmes. The key now is whether they can keep head above water in terms of cashflow. I would say almost certainly yes though it might be tight. The deferment of the conv loan was a very smart move and a godsend at present. I dont think there will be a problem repaying it by 2017 IF production starts ramping up by next year... obviously it is still costing money in interest though.I think it may still go below 20p but by 2016 that could be a p/e of less than 2, for those people willing to take a risk on Lance turning the company round...No advice intended...

Technology and patents alone must be worth more than £1.25 - it all still works, remember; it's just the fracking situation that's causing the problems. Also, they have all the contracts signed up. They aren't worth anything while operators are sidetracked, but that doesn't mean they won't ever be worth anything. Quite the opposite.

No doubt in my mind Lance has come in and started sorting out the business, we are in safe hands with him, I have no doubt.

This year doesn't look good, but next year we will probably have oversupply of brine and likelihood that we would be on track for 1000 MT +

The problem this year is supplying adequate brine to the plants 3-6. do we truck it in or is there any alternative O&G fields we could get supply from?

I would like some mobile units out there, not sure if that is possible right now.

Another alternative is we do a JV and the other party buy a stake in us in return for cash to enlarge our production with mobile units.

Water business is coming, I think we can look forward to that at least.

If we make it through to next year, we have a good opportunity to get into triple figures, bottom drawer stuff I'm afraid.

Thank Joe! :-) Although 'tales of wow' might be correct given the poster who has yet to tell his wife. :-(

bulltradept - I think that might be "tales of woe", but I have to say that I would grab a £1.25 take out with glee as my average is now below 60p.

Another get rich quick scheme bites the dust. Iodine in Chile. What could possibly go wrong?

Nevik2... not if 1.25 left you still owing a quid for every share. !!

The non-core water permit has now become main core for the near future anyhow, because it is easy cash when in place, and we need cash! I only hope that the fracking company that is reducing brine for our units is not one of our water customers if they are reducing their requirement for fracking. I noted we still were not told in yesterday's rns exactly why our permit was denied again. I would have liked them to provide us with that info; it's all too sketchy I feel. I certainly did not expect this morning's news! Got to stay put now for the long(er) haul.

Fest,I agree Woody spends an amazing amount of time on IOF and I trust him,he must wonder how genuine his contacts are, even Mr B ,as well connected as he is with CF ,surely wouldn't have bought as high as he did.
Having said that he is obviously an astute guy with an eye for good investment.

My goodness if someone handed you a £1.25 get out of jail free card, you wouldn't want it!!

Reading some of the tails of wow here I am truly sorry for you all.

One only hopes you used only a specific amount of you investment pot so you can take a hit when prices and news do go south.

GLA with this, still has a feel of Bio fuels Corporation about it.

Best of luck Festario. When it hits the bottom there should be a bit of a bounce. I would wait a bit before the "we need to talk" .

Well, I wish I hadn't got up late this morning - I could at least have sold and bought more back later. Now I can't do anything about it.

I actually woke up happily this morning thinking that not too much more could go wrong with IOF, so that was another mistake this morning.

However, the technology still works, the plants are there. My immediate concerns are that the rumoured Japanese from mister big may not be interested if there is no immediate iodine supply. Hopefully IOF won't need to buy in iodine to fulfil contracts, but they may.

I absolutely don't think this company is going bust. They have been very good at getting funding in the past and all placings have been at a premium to the prevailing share price

However, rather than scrimp and save, I would prefer them to raise money either by loan, a partner, equity... and get some mobiles up and running PDQ. These can be moved if the brine suddenly becomes unavailable. I really don't see why they can't do this.

Maybe they could buy a shut down well and construct a plant on that. I'd much rather see them getting up and running with a loan than to sit on their hands scrimping and saving waiting until the fracking situation cools down a bit.

I'm still overall bullish (deluded??! ha ha). This is nasty hiccup; I can afford to lose my money here short-term but not long-term (5 years). At the moment, I still think long-term is good. I would be gutted at a takeover of £1.25 and would vote against (not that my vote would mean anything - most of shares not in public hands).

Obviously I am gutted today, as I have friends and family in here.
I also have the wife to face at some stage. Looking forward to that!!

I have been thinking though, that it is highly likely that SuperG has been lied to by their contacts, and possibly Mr Big too.
That is the only acceptable explanation if they are close to the company.

The alternative does not bear thinking about!

But... that leaves me wondering what level of integrity those contacts at IOF have, and what hope for us all in the future?

Market overreaction as usual but the cash position is troubling.

The thing most people including me missed as well is the dependance on regular production from the fracking operators. Without it, there is no production.

Going to ride this out for 10 years until I get my money back, lol.
