TRT my tip for the competition. Brilliant technology, significant orders in the pripeline, commercial delivery long overdue. Happy Christmas to all on the main BB, and a special bear hug to SG for his astounding generosity. What a guy!

AGTA my entry for xmas comp.Cash due soon from legacy oil field in Ethiopia. When it arrives will completely underpin current mcap, leaving the agriculture business in for free. Their vertically integrated beef enterprise, as well as their cocoa, palm oil and maize busineeses, make this a good play on growing middle class demand in emerging markets.Merry Xmas and a happy new year to all

I haven't looked deeply recently. My main concern was lack of hitting the revenues they expected too.

You know me always on about my 15 PE, so they need 1.7m profit to hit the rating, current PE 111.

I will have a look. No worries with high PE's though as that happens when shares nove into their first profits.

E.G.

If IOF showed £1m profit for this year, on this price the PE would be 120.

PE 15 SRT 13p per mill profit, IOF 11.8p per mill profit

Xmas comp
Ok SG, here goes. SRT. Check out the prophets posts. I have been in here some time, and its taking longer than expected for mandates to have the desired effect on sales. I biee delivery could begin in 2013 from a sales revenue perspective, but that remains to be seen! AIS is a truly fantastic technology, I have been on ships bridges to see it in use, and the future market potential looks good. Like IOF, it's all about delivery, I believe the groundworks have all been laid. I don't think it has the potential to beat IOF,on any time frame, but delivery could well see £1 share price given time.

SEE, Seeing Machines: is worth keeping on your radar, very low key stock, i.e under the radar. Possible massive growth markets with their DSS system which is being installed in mining vehicles, order backlogs etc, they are currently working with the car industry (volvo)to get the DSS system in vehicles however they need to drive down the costs of building the units. Another product to come to market over the next few months is Trufield that enables both eyes to be tested at once, another very interesting product. The bb is very quiet. Quite an interesting stock overall.

Edit, There is a possible fund raise early next year which may occur, however it may not, but my thoughts are it will for rollout of Trufield and to continue the rollout of the DSS inventory.

TPL is a steal ahead of farm-in news IMHO. One of my larger stocks, Dr Robson (director) bought 150,000 yesterday at 29.5p.

Nearly all buys today.

I've been in PAF (a gold (and recently pgm) miner) for a couple of years now and come to regard the company and management as highly as I do IOF. It is about to take over an operation that will double the production (to nearly 200 koz/year) and so the shares today are effectively on a pe of less than 3.5. A rights offer next month (to partly pay for the operation) means one can buy 25% more on a pe of less than 3. The company has a superb last 5 year history, superb management, a good dividend (suspended for the acquisition this year but to be reinstated next year), great potential and ISAble. Unfortunately it's in South Africa but you can't have everything!

neddo - see my post 75 on this thread about QFI. It has since been tipped in Investors Chronicle (last Friday's issue I think, although I only saw it when I flipped through in WH Smiths!)

doodlebug,

"I think CR was also the first poster on ADVFN to tip that Aggreko would fly in the wake of Sandy."

I wasn't aware there was a race on here but as you think there is would you like to tell us when and where CR posted this.

Nice one sandbag, very good call.

That's what making money is all about, don't follow the herd, find the shares that will hit the headlines well before the market has a clue.

I think if you can see an opportunity you do need to buy what you are comfortable with before letting anyone else know. CR has been discussing INSE and UTW, I feel sure that he does his homework before investing, lets people know the reasons why once done and similar when he sells.
Not suggesting anything, but he has such a following that he can almost get a share to do what he wants in that situation, of which I am sure he is aware.

However, I am impressed by the amount of knowledge that he does accumulate on a variety of shares.
