17/9/2013 17:29 | Seems to me that there is now little chance of CEO and water news before the interims. All part of the anticipated "ping" next week? | joeywald
17/9/2013 17:03 | Personally, I think it could be day traders hoping for a surge - when it doesn't materialise they sell before close - hence the daily drop close to close. | angel of the north
17/9/2013 16:42 | To be fair, one can clear, nothing to stop another coming in, and a seller could just be someone short selling for their own gains, but they will have to buy back again some time if the business develops well as most here expect. | naphar
17/9/2013 16:34 | Hang on i thought the seller was cleared?? Where's Matrix? | pigeon1
17/9/2013 16:00 | It does seem that way Angel. | noli
17/9/2013 15:45 | 'They' won't let it! | angel of the north
17/9/2013 14:27 | ha, ha, noli.... I really hope you're right! | worraps
17/9/2013 14:25 | Noli Where did you get Nutleys picture from! | freshvoice
17/9/2013 14:20 | And one for the shorters: | noli
17/9/2013 12:36 | Bloody hell King_Roster_III if you think my comment was negative I'd hate to think what you make of other posters thoughts. It was an observation of the share price over the last number of weeks - very clear on any chart. | uppompeii
17/9/2013 12:35 | Lol dsyerrsaa or even a coiled spring :) A lot of demand building on the buy side :) | pnetol
17/9/2013 12:30 | Surely it can't hold much longer at £1.49 | roundup
17/9/2013 12:26 | I see a colied spring, being wound tighter and tighter getting ready to go :) This feels like a Mexican stand off, I dont think it will be long before we see who the winner is, my money is firmly on the Bulls, I am just waiting for that Gattling gun of buys to hit us again, then we will be through the 150 resistance. | pnetol
17/9/2013 12:24 | up, I don't see the pessimism; It did a classic A, B, C formation i.e. up to 250, down to 120, up to 200, down to 135p. Of course, I didn't sell and didn't benefit but I've been stocking up of late. It's been going sideways between 135-150p, but it's tried to break out a few times above 150p, each time it does it makes that ceiling much easier to break. I think we're building up to a break out above that level... I could be wrong of course, but looks poised from here, so yes, I'm more enthusiastic than I have been for some time. So upside from here, but how much I think will depend on the iodine price going forward. I will be very surprised if we get anywhere near Scrutables January target, but equally, I'll be surprised if we aren't much higher from here by year end. One things for sure - if you want a company that IS going to grow fast, IOF is that company, The bear case over the last couple of days here has really been poor, ironically it has probably helped the bulls i.e. they can't come up with anything serious. I have my bear points, but they aren't stopping me buying at this price! I can't predict the future, only that the risk/reward at this level looks favourable to me. STVG would have better investment which I knew inside out, but it was a recovery stock, it has recovered, this is a growth stock and the upside is mult-bagger. My timing could have been better, this is a learning game. I see £4.80 possible over the next couple of years and hopefully double that, which is why I'm happy to keep buying. PS: I don't expect these results will provide the true upside of the plants we have, unless the company actually spells out near term production and gives forecasts (which they have said they will do). | che7win
17/9/2013 12:21 | Much like your continued negativity, pomp. Horses for courses eh. | king_roster_iii
17/9/2013 12:13 | Your continued enthusiasm is impressive che7win! I just see the normal pattern of the last couple of months though... :-( | uppompeii
17/9/2013 12:10 | A lovely hammer formation today. Some stragglers no doubt hoping for a fall to get in cheaply. It a case of not wanting to miss the boat. Once the market could see it wasn't falling much intra-day, the buyers have come on board eagerly. I don't know what the results will be like, but it seems that there are a lot of eager buyers wanting exposure here :-) | che7win
17/9/2013 12:01 | I knew I had seen the 49% growth for the Chemical division somewhere: "In 2012, Iofina Chemical continued its strong year-over-year growth with record sales and profits. A strong second half of 2012 helped to boost these results, with Iodine product sales up over 49% year on year, and this performance has continued in early 2013. Improved sourcing efforts have directly benefitted these results, particularly the global sourcing of alternative iodine streams. Continued sales expansion worldwide has resulted in new markets for Iofina's iodine derivatives. We continue to develop new relationships and strengthen our cooperation with existing customers. R&D efforts remain strong, and the development of new, high-value products put us on a positive path forward." | che7win
17/9/2013 11:36 | "when the facts aren't yet known, I feel the need to question. That's healthy." It certainly is! | sandbag
17/9/2013 11:33 | freshvoice......yes, it is simple to calculate, I agree. However, until the 25th, that simple calculation is based on speculation, hearsay, hope, assumption, and belief, based on intimations from IOF, not facts. Having witnessed the disappointments in production, due to unexpected delays, I'll feel happier when IOF announce the ACTUAL production stats next week. Like you, I feel optimistic, but when someone comes on here stating that it WILL be record production, when the facts aren't yet known, I feel the need to question. That's healthy. | worraps
17/9/2013 11:28 | Thanks for the update Retiree, your commentary and screenshots are much appreciated. Sounds like yesterdays buyers have filled up for now. | ijpax |
