I'm lost

1 month ago breaking £2.50

1 month later hoovering around £1.60

over a third of the companies value lost for what reason

The reason is - It was hyped up by the continuous ramping of a few posters here. Now the market is giving them a dose of reality with more to come.

Bog

The figures are what we're said at the company presentation.

The 'cake' of crystal is the basic form straight out of the plant I presume.

Prilled is a dried version, and is easier to process/handle for customers

ZaraSport615,

It was too high, it is too high, and when it hits 100p it will still be too high.

SG, just to check i've got this right regarding "1600 tons of raw iodine before prilling is required".

So, the first 800 tons of production set aside for IOC
The next 1600 tons (ie 1600/2400 tons production) will be sold as raw iodine cake.
Production in excess of 2400 tons will require prilling as I understand.

Is this correct? Is this division of product due to current customer requirements? If the US imports 5000 tons iodine, then surely more than 1600 tons would be available to sell in a raw form? Tia.

Chum

No just a 'hit' on a one liner. Subscriptionneeded for the rest.

On the prilling tower, that would feature some time next year, as I recall from the AGM.

can see us treading water until the company give the market some more guidance on brines re io1 plus io2 upgrade.can't see why they wouldn't as i can't see any reason 4 all this UNDER THE RADAR approach to still apply.

Im surprised, given that both the dow and ftse are positive. IOF has become a bit of a traders share so is more likely to reflect wider market swings.

SG: Does your data say in what form India are buying? I assume we are generally talking about prill but this is maybe not always the case.

In a similar vein, does anyone recall the timescale for ordering the prilling tower at IOC, if it was ever identified?

Boggle, the share price is a bit misleading when you look at L2 - there are only about 15k shares on the Offer before we get to 170ish.

More just in on Sirocco.

Previous details 34m dollars on upgrades this year.

15m for a ball mill q1 2014.

Now 25m for a solar plant in 2014.

As in the presentation, they hope to add around 800mt for that lot at low 30's opex.

Capex detailed so far 74 million. Production gain 800mt. Intended opex low 30's.

It just shows how expensive it is to mine chile caliche.

That's of course not counting the 60m write down of that ALP main kit, if they don't solve the 'wear' problem

India was mentioned today and just by chance I had a Hilton India iodine today (the first ever).

In May India imported 226 mt 68 percent was from Chile

All things being equal that would mean around 2700 PA for India.

Re plant builds, they had plenty of sites but have waited for finalisation of contracts/brine leases in OK.

I understand in that regard it's all done for the roll out for this year.

Gad. I took the main patent to be the main Iosorb IP. They will have a lot more deeper patents on the minor processes. As you know one doesn't apply for them all as eventually that spells out the full process at some point. So just stick blockers in, with bits missing.

if a take over was at only 3 times current sp, I dought a billion investment would be made on reassurances from Sam at IR. hope you see a little reality check on that last post. (:-)....

No idea on power freshvoice, all i know they hook up to the electric grid. Iof might have backup generators but i doubt they can run 24/7 - 365 days.

Just out of my own curiosity. In all these e-mail replies people have received, was any comment made on patents? Despite the optimism generated at the PI and AGM presentations, I have not seen any evidence on the US patent Office site that any IOF patent grants are imminent.
However, I don't really regard this as crucial as long as we have the licences tied up.

Noli,
I don't know how much power these sites need? but surely if that is an issue a generator from Agrekko or similar would be a worthwhile investment when you look at a days lost production is worth?

With all the problems the Chilean miners are having and given Lundin have been alerted and know about this BB, surely they will not wait for months to makeamove?

They know enough from the header and The RNS and Sam's confirmation that all is well to make a strategic investment now?
