17/7/2013 11:42 | Mickey - I`m with HL - usually pretty good to speak to & deal with - I`ll give them a call nearer the time - thanks | pcjoe
17/7/2013 11:37 | Hi PCJoe, When I've transferred shares into ISAs using my broker (Redmayne Bentley)in the past I've been able to strike a deal re spreads and costs. It's a no risk trade for them. | smilingmickey
17/7/2013 11:23 | I think a lot more buying, as people might buy to put into share ISAs that they already have | patrich2
17/7/2013 11:13 | I wonder what effect that rush will have? - I presume that shares will have to be bought & sold to move from ordinary share account to ISA? - Whats the betting that the market spreads just get a little larger than usual in August | pcjoe
17/7/2013 11:09 | Re GDL and the comment by the CEO. Clearly the Chinese have set about trying to work out the GDL tech and copy it. How he can confidently say he knows who was involved, and that they have learned nothing , is ridiculous. Are we to assume the CEO has his own guys following everyone he suspects and are on the inside re meetings about there findings. Also that he trusts his own Chinese employee's that do know how the tech works. IMO, what a load of cobblers. You simply can't walk into China, with tech that could change their energy industry, and expect China to respect your patents and techniques. Just look at the misleading rns's, there is certainly a lot of BS going on. Early first quarter for that test well, that was impossible and they refused to clarify it. Then another contract rns where they had already completed one well ???. The price did move on the RNS, so who knew and bought in the many weeks that the contract was known about and being actioned. ????? | superg1
17/7/2013 11:02 | From the Telegraph There might be a rush!! | smilingmickey
17/7/2013 10:21 | From this link it shows why the ML is very important, an operator can drill 3 wells in the ML compared to the bakken on costings, as of march 92 rigs were in core OK. | noli
17/7/2013 10:16 | Interesting little company Vmoto (Vmt). 17 JULY 2013 HIGHLIGHTS · Vmoto makes maiden monthly profit in June 2013 · Chinese demand for Vmoto products exceeding expectations · At least eight new models for Chinese domestic market being developed to keep up with demand · On current interest and orders, the Company anticipates making a net profit after tax for the financial year to 31 December of A$300k-A$600k Vmoto Limited ("Vmoto" or "the Company") is pleased to announce that it has delivered a profitable month in June 2013. The net profit after tax figure (unaudited) was approximately A$80,000 and marks a significant turning point in the Company's history. The profitable June month follows the successful launch of six of Vmoto's own models into China, the opening of its flagship shop in Lishui District, Nanjing and the ramping up of PowerEagle's strategic cooperation agreement. The level of interest from distributors and customers in Vmoto's products has been such that the Company has already started fast tracking the development of at least eight more Vmoto models for the Chinese domestic market. This is expected to take three to six months and, once completed, will open up even more opportunities for the Company to increase production and distribution throughout China. In order to service these opportunities the Company is reviewing sites in various regions of China with a view to opening more of its own stores. With the discussions senior management are having in China and based on the demand shown to date, the Company anticipates that it will make its maiden annual profit for the financial year ending 31 December 2013 of between A$300,000 and A$600,000. Charles Chen, Vmoto's Managing Director, commented: "We are delighted to have produced a profitable month in June 2013 for Vmoto and its shareholders and look forward to reporting a maiden profit come the year end. The interest in our Chinese electric products, in less than two months since their launch, has exceeded our expectations and reaffirms the importance of Chinese market for electric scooters, where 40 million units are expected to be produced in 2015, making it by far the biggest and fastest growing in the world. With even more of our models soon to be on the roads, we are confident that Vmoto can increase production levels even more." | molatovkid

17/7/2013 07:55 | Another great post SG(5232) There may be some uncertainties regarding the exact tonnage and we will have to wait until the year end figures are disclosed, but I am 100% certain that when IO3, IO4 and the others are online, will have one exceptionally profitable company. I am not concerned about this year, 2014 is going to be a cracker. | rogerbridge
17/7/2013 07:54 | Filling gaps in my knowledge/experience here. If you have shares in a company that's taken out for cash, at what point do you receive the cash, and is it any more complicated than selling shares online? Also, I'd expect the trading volume to fall off once the share price has got close to the agreed T/O price, so with a large holding is there a danger of being locked in for any period of time? TIA. | writz

16/7/2013 23:29 | The Librarian 16 Jul'13 - 22:35 - 5239 and tips thread 598 I am no apologist for the Chinese nation and had dire experiences in Eastern Europe but your comments are pure supposition from what we remember of Communism 15 years ago. The Politburo today does not care who makes the money. They want their five year plan fulfilled. They want the gas and the Chinese O&G companies are failing Big Time. It is said that Sinaco recently drilled 2000 wells which all came up water. CEO Randeeo Grewal is a trained engineer hence lousy PR but his team are streets ahead of their competitors in drilling time, costs, and gas production. He has no intention of leaving China and is under no pressure to do so. His team's skills are distributed. No one or several carry all the IP. There is nothing to copy and infiltrators have trained unbeknown to GDL and returned to their sponsors but have failed to reproduce results. The state owned Banks, O&G behemoths have almost infinite money and throw it at problems to get the required result yet so often fail the consequences are political not economic. Please see my report this evening on the GDL page of ADVFN for the original AGM report. | scrutable
