And the message is spreading to new institutions.
Not long for Iofina to retest their highs IMO

The rise in the iodine price for one thing. A certain amount of concern that the japanese require antiradiation tablets and i fear will only get worse. What you thinking?

Bogg1e,

Welcome back, I trust you enjoyed your holiday?

Now then, from your link on US Iodine production 2008 to 2012, what did you find most interesting?

Leave Tuesday morning ;)

I wouldn't think the 90 days would reset, as long as the response from Iofina was immediate, for which we have not had confirmation, but this wouldn't be RNS'able anyway.

Here is hoping to a production update this week :)

Dig: you're not taking your holiday seriously :-)

Hope they don't restart the clock: would be too much like snakes and ladders :-)

Engelo, the real question is does the 90 days start again once we have replied to the deficiency letter?

Water countdown: don't know how precisely to take the 90 day timeframe for processing the water permit application. (Had hoped it might be shorter since some of the processing could have been completed based on IOF's original 10k acre feet application submitted around 28th March.)

However fwiw April 29th (amended application date) + 90 = July 28th.

So on this basis 14 days to go :-)

Should be a close race between water, IO1/2/3/4 update, patent and CEO news.

madchick,

RE: spread betting - rules are absolutely spot on- except - as we now know, assume a drop of 50% to be reasonably sure. My SB's are currently on 70 with cash available (within same day - which is the share price company's usual limit)up to 90.

Greed is the sb Company's best friend.

Sleep well my friends - Mike

I don't know what happened there! I've edited it and now it looks like you can even click it directly. Always a silver lining somewhere....

Edit, PS. Should also clarify that the 11th rule was added by the original author and not me!!

Boggle 5096 - looks like that first link doesn't include IOF. It will be interesting to see next year's (ie 2013's).

Interesting points in those iodine price links-:

SQM, ACF Minera, Sirocco Mining and SCM Bullmine are planning to increase capacity by a combined 5,000tpy by 2014. Japanese secondary production is likely to increase in line with growth output of OPF.

So 5000mt by 2014

SQM have just announced that they intend to hold back, so no indication from them about any extra.

Sirocco have said they hope to add 388mt this year, but then in 2014 hope with a ball mill (Q1 2014) they can add another 400mt.
I think their plant 'wear' will be their undoing. The ALP that processes the caliche is very key to their operation, $60m to write down if it's corrosion causing the problem.

Scm Bullmine are rumoured to be on 600mt to 1000mt, but I hear their opex is very high. I also posted re the Chilean authorities on their back of a serious issue of acid leaks from 'ponds'

Algorta (Acf) I believe they were on 2000mt but limited to 2,400mt as they will need to have another seawater pipeline to go beyond that.

Cosayach are the unknown as they had gone below 2000mt but got a water permit in Q2

I don't think SCM will add anything, 388 planned by Sirocco, Algorta I suspect can add 400, Cosayach unknown, SQM have declared a plan not to increase.

£3230 for the report, and I'd love to know how they came up with those figures, but suspect it's the usual highly inaccurate 'expert' analysis.

Whats with the hxxp that sometimes fronts posted links ( instead of http that is initially typed in by poster - see link posted by Bogg above ) - some kind of blocking device being employed to stop links being accessed from ADVFN site? - strange & annoying
