He isn't a Director! He is retired.

I get your point, but for the fact he is no longer a director and he is retired.

Not good timing I entirely agree. But he still has a large chunk, so as long as he has no plans to sell more at this stage, I can forgive him for selling those ones, given his wife is probably nagging very loudly right now.

Under what circumstances would the Director of a 'growth' company sell a massive amount of shares, at a time when shareholder confidence is destroyed, and the share price is at a 4 year low?The signal that sends is appalling.

More on the woes of SQM:

The JP shares were probably bought by one of the institutions that IOF were meant to be seeing last week as the price was steadily moving up.

Up,
No, nobody asked, not unless in private conversation beforehand, and there was not much chance for that.
I wanted to ask Tom that very question, especially as he started the presentstion telling us why he is excited to be ceo of IOF.
But, he had to leave to do an interview before the q&a session finished, and I did not get the chance.

The optimist in me wonders if he bought Jeffs sold shares... somehow I doubt it, and fact is Jeff has sold some, we have no idea who to. On flip side, someone has bought, I hope if its not Tom, it is an insti

Maybe Jeff thought with such exciting news being released at the AGM we, the owners of the company, wouldn't notice a mere 600,000 shares being sold.

Cross

I said "I suspect IOC is not using more than about 300-360mt pa..."

So it was from no other place than my brain thinking things through to try and make sense.

What was said on the strategic inventory, was they need 100-140mt, but they can ge away with it dipping to 80mt for a short period. I doubt they could start with it at 80, some large buyers will audit as due diligence I suspect, we do in the business I am in.

Up and rhwillicol.

Have you ever played Iofina bingo? There is a similar game a few here play on Private messaging called Iofina Excuse Lotto.

I'm doing ok so far, just need "Maybe he has transferred to a trust?" and I win.

Perhaps he just needed the money. He's still got plenty invested in the company.

Mm,
Yes, maybe he was hoping for a bounce as the AGM took place, or maybe it is a deliberate timed exercise.
