With that thought nghomi

IVK could sell its Berong share for £20 million and TMC for £7 million.

IVK would have say £30 million in the bank and hold liscences for L.P, Belitung and Folakara (Uranium).

And have a Mcap of £28.5 million!

Its a crazy thought but prooves how undervalued IVK is...........

strow, unless IVK finds some institutional backing, why should anybody pay 180p per share and say not 120p? The speed of decline is so fast that you would wonder why bother paying 180p! Of course we don't know what is going on behind the scene, IMO it looks that IVK is carying too many eggs at the same time and she has to drop one or two before all eggs are dropped!

nghomi-more money will be needed obviously that is not in doubt, for each and every project-no different to any other company going into production of their projects-ivk is no different,so why should it be treated as such? The capex is factored into the lp calculations with payback as stated-all normal run of the mill mining buisiness

Interesting to see whether IVK's management would place 6 million IVK's shares (say at 180p per share) and raise £10m or sell 11% of TMC and collect £7m. Either way, I am not sure that we have enough funding to pursue both LP and Berong. Perhaps, they would sell 18% of Berong for £20m?? Have enough funds available to act accordingly to any outcome now.:-)

Thanks Wazza.

I watched the meteroic rise of TMC and IVK from the sidelines and am just wondering if this is presenting a good opportunity to get in now, or whether to sit on the sidelines a little longer.

Think i'll carry on sitting for a bit.

There is a link between the 3, as TMC and IVK have some of the same investers and Atlas.

TMC and IVK has the 74.9% stake in BNC, i just think they are playing on the huge investment needed $200-300 million is alot of money.

But i presume IVK will need a loan etc of $56.7 million or £24 million on the project of $300 million (18.9%).

We know IVK has some good projects, its just a question of which ones do we progress with, and in what order.

If we include L.P as well they could need £40 million of investment, but will have 2 very large projects generating good income.

Another Atlas subsidiary, Berong Nickel Corp., will raise $200 million to $300 million via either bank loans or a public listing to build a processing plant at its nickel mine in Palawan island, southwest of Manila.

London-listed Toledo Mining (TMC.L: Quote, Profile , Research) has a 56.1 percent stake in Berong, and Australia's Investika Ltd. (IVK.AX: Quote, Profile , Research) has 18.8 percent.

I'm confused! So, Berong Nickel Corp is a subsiduary of Atlas? But TMC and IVK hold 75.9% of Berong, so Atlas hold 25.1% right?

WHY??-given up trying to explain the drop-nothing can explain it other than mms taking out spread bet positions in my view and shorting

Maybe this article had something to do with the drop?

Well i think that sell reported at 8.59 am was probably the sell that caused the drop-it was above nms and therefore they are allowed to delay reporting for up to an hour---8.59-funny that hey!buying ever since

strow, I used today's laterite price in Chinese ports to back up the FOB price of about $55/wt I quoted from estainlesssteel.com ( In the TMC thread, I said I was not sure if the $55/wt price was FOB or CIF. Now I am sure that was the FOB price.

Of course we will make good prifit this year and next if nickel price does not drop below $20k. I will be extremely happy if the price stays at about $30k.

Comment - What a difference a few months make. A while back we posted some enquiries from China of business' looking for low grade laterite nickel ore (pig nickel ore). Now it appears the sellers far outnumber the buying enquiries. Here are just a few we found listed. Albania miner with over 1,000,000 tonnes of 1.05%. A UAB miner with access to 70 million metric tonnes, can ship 50-100,000 tonnes per month, 2% and up. Kalimanta, Indonesian miner can ship over 500,000 metric tonnes per month of 1.5% to 2.5%. Indonesia miner has 60,000 metric tonnes of 1.65%+. Another Indonesia miner can ship 50,000 tonnes per month of 1.2%. A Philippines miner can ship 50,000 tonnes a month of 1.4%-1.6%. All listed in the last 5 weeks. And on Monday we said China was paying $60-$70/tonne for .9 - 1.5% grade ore. That same grade is fetching $48 -$55/tonne today.

We must remember, that if they do place, then the company will have a very very nice cash position, which i would fully trust it to put to very good use,so it really is not a worry in my mind-this is all about people wanting to get in at "the bottom" nothing more

I understand that the buyers foot the transport bill. They also need to make profit for the laterite they purchase from us and sell it to other users. If they sell the 1.5% ore at the price of $107/wt and make 30% profit, the price we get will be 107*.7-22 = $53.

The reason we get lower is that our arrangement is for the buyer to foot the bill for shipping at approx. US$22 to US$26/wet metric ton

IVK dropped in Oz to 210p equivalent (14.5%) with a volume of just 6856 shares.
I think it is not playing catch ups, it is lower than our previous close price of 232p.

Would mm know something we do not know?

Recently, IVK and TMC led the drop alternatively, one day, IVK dropped faster, and the other day TMC dropped faster. It looks like the shares are in vicious cycles.

Would share placing cause such a big problem in IVK? Does IVK have to sell TMC to fund its other interests?

PS. I just found the today's price of laterite in Chinese ports. The price we get in BNC will certainly be lower than those prices. I rekon we only get 60% of the price listed in China.

What i want to know,is how long they are going to keep gaping it down for-suppose depends on what oz does-looks like more spread bets are likely to go out again today!

Well i suppose thats what happens if one invests just before a market correction-i accept that, will not be selling one share and will be averaging down-this is not stock specific, only in that due to the small free float,it is likely to make big moves in both directions
