27/7/2007 08:15 | At this price on a p/e of 10 ivk needs to bring in £3 million from berong this year-i think it will :-) | strow
26/7/2007 18:17 | If anyones interested, papillon has made a very interesting and reasurring response to my question about the economics of umcs uranium grades on that thread (uep)-seems like it may well be a goer(ivk hold 20%) | strow
26/7/2007 17:38 | 26/07/07 At Las Nipas, which is located five kilometres to the east of Las Pascualas, a programme to locate additional leachable ore commenced. Surface geological mapping together with rock chip geochemistry has revealed porphyry style mineralisation with anomalous copper, molybdenum and gold over an area of 80 hectares. A strong NW - SE trending structure which crosses the zone appears to separate dominant copper and molybdenum values to the north-east from gold to the south-west. Further work is planned with drilling scheduled to be completed following final infill drilling at Las Pascualas. Other areas to the south of Las Pascualas, where strong zones of alteration are present, are under investigation. | wazza208
26/7/2007 15:47 | Exactly wazza-the reaction is to the markets and not the release-people just way way too jumpy and over leveraged-but that actually creates bargains for holders of real shares who want to top up,so im not complaining | strow
26/7/2007 15:36 | I'm not sure nghomi but i suspect a mining permit in any form will allow the S.East zone to be mined for gold the question is, how much gold is there? What a bonus though, i wasn't expecting that one i must admit! :) I can see IVK overtaking TMCs' share price shortly, TMC is too dependant on Nickel i just hope some of its holders realise IVK is a better risk play for Berong, and come over here its going to stay in my ISA for the time being that for sure. I hope IVK did sell some its TMC holding for the higher price, but i'm not sure they did. Well i take the news as a big plus regarding gold etc, its a massive acreage and they said that L.P has a mixture of metals found in its rock basically in crytalised form within the common rock. I know one thing, if this massive acreage has a good % of gold in the South-East and in the deep rich seam as claimed. We could even be talking gold for L.P instead of copper. I truely believe i made the right choice in IVK instead of TMC, and i'm glad i didn't get sucked in by the blind ramping that goes on, on that thread. But i am surprised TMC has reacted so badly to what is a very minor setback, its hardly worth worrying about long term. | wazza208
26/7/2007 12:22 | nomolos, perhaps TQN is a good one to watch if molybdenum ore would be so valuable in two years time. Would IVK need a separate license to develop mines for gold and molybdenum? | nghomi
26/7/2007 10:58 | "At Las Nipas, which is located five kilometres to the east of Las Pascualas, a programme to locate additional leachable ore commenced. All looks good to me...but then I'm a holder so it would :) Forget the mention of gold, molybdenum interests me as it is one ore which will fly in the next few years. Used in many applications as a steel alloy, with no known substitute, mainly to give hardness and tensile properties to steel at extreme high and low temperatures demand will be driven by several sectors at once IMO. Heavily used in nuclear and military applications (just what I think China is going to spend its dollar reserves on), the fast growing market for it is in plate for shipbuilding where it is used heavily in ships used to transport LNG, as in the new Milford Haven project, and others planned to come on stream in the next few years. All good stuff, need to dig (excuse the pun) a bit more on how much they think they'll be able to process - but I'm sure they'll find a willing taker for it:) | nomolos

26/7/2007 09:05 | I snook a few more TMC for the bounce, seems silly not to. The 7k IVK rollover yesterday was us filling an ISA, timings never been my strong point, although I doubt whether in 10 years time I'll be grumbling about missing out on 10p a share :) | nomolos
