This was never the big money spinner, but its failure would have been bad news,so very very good news-probably underwrites 2/3rds of current m/c!
Even more undervalued than before now-belitung could be very big so hold onto your hats-wish i had more cash!

UEP is down today wihout any volume! How much would UEP be worth if they find commercial U-238? Just trying to guess its value to IVK on a two to three years time frame.

Edit: There was a large seller which caused the dropped today.

pec-yes but smaller free float than tmc-think they want as many shares as they can get, hence more ruthless, but think the opposite can also apply on the way up
p.s-dropping the price never seems to work here as buys always seem to outweigh sells

Does seem daft this falls when TMC due to the big discount to NAV we have here.

Almost seems like IVK is only valued on its BNC/TMC share.

URANIUM EXPLORATION UPDATE

25 June 2007

UMC Energy plc, in which Investika Ltd presently has a 20.5% interest, has
released the following announcement:

"The directors of UMC Energy (AIM : UEP) are pleased to advise the receipt of
the first assay results from its Folokara District exploration leases in the
Morondava basin in Madagascar.

These are preliminary values from the initial batch of 36 samples which were
submitted, in mid-May 2007, to Activation Laboratories in Canada for analysis.
Final values are awaited.

The samples were prepared from the diamond drill cores obtained from two, of a
total of six, initial vertical scout holes drilled just before the onset of the
Madagascan rainy season, during which these leases are inaccessible. Samples
were selected using radiometric scanning of core material.

The holes were drilled as an exploratory measure to verify the presence of
uranium mineralisation indicated in the historical exploration database which
was acquired by the Company in late 2006 and as an indication of the type of
ground conditions that could be expected for the 2007 drilling programme.

Hole FOL06-1 intersected 4.26m @ 0.019%U3O8 below 13.70m, and 3.42m @ 0.036%U3O8
below 17.43m. Core recovery was over 88%.

Hole FOL06-2, located 100m north of FOL06-1, intersected 7.60m @ 0.039%U3O8
below 23.70m, including 1.10m @ 0.251%U3O8 below 27.70m.

The latter zone contained visible secondary uranium minerals in an oxidised
sandstone, and core recovery was over 99%.

The Company is encouraged by this preliminary result and will make further
announcements when results from the 2007 exploration drilling programme, which
began in mid-June, are received.

Mr Michael Smith, CEO of the Company, is a member of The Association of Mine
Managers of South Africa and is the qualified person who has reviewed and
approved the technical information contained in this announcement."

UEP soaring today.

I presume the palcing is to fund BFS/development for Las Pascualas or maybe to fund IVK's share of va processing at Berong.

Just looked at IVK on Selftrade and seen......no tick for trading.

Not noticed that before. When was it removed?

The Selftrade tick must have changed in the last three weeks as I bought IVK in both a CTF and SIPP on 5th June.

Is it ever possible at the moment to buy IVK with Selftrade, online or by phone? I see no tick icon, or even a telephone icon.

peroman,
IMO new placing would dilute Chris Kyriakou holding. Also IVK asset is unblanced towards Berong projects. It make sense to dirversify a little bit. Anyway bringing more institutional holders for TMC will only push the price even which is a good thing for IVK. As you say, the new project will not be less attractive of TMC imo.

I do not understand your reasoning for selling TMC? Unless you know of their new project which is supposed to be even bigger cash cow?

strow
When was the AGM? If I remember correctly I read somewhere that existing holders would be egligible to be part of new placement, which sounds quite interesting if we are to be given a chance to subscribe new shares for 80% of present price.

peroman

I doubt that IVK will do any placing IMO. It would be better if they reduce TMC holding and sell (say 5% of TMC) to an institutional holder. But my view is based on common sense and speculation.

The price is likely to be kept down artificially imo as i said before, because of the placing possibility-they had 12 weeks from the agm in order to satisfy the placing resolution, and you can bet your bottom dollar that the institutions will not want to get in any higher than necessary-they are allowed up to a 20% discount anyway as per resolution 6-cant believe it wont happen otherwise why have the resolution to be fulfilled within 12 weeks-we should i think be looking at 19 million shares here now for valuation purposes and not the current no-all imo

It is ironic that UEP is up 11% today, which make IVK asset there well over £2m!
