20/4/2006 07:51 | Would be nice Ged to get these at 6p would pile in for a few if we could. Just looking forward to the good news now, they obviously need the money for something lets hope we find out soon. | martincoops
20/4/2006 07:48 | Just a reminder of the trading statement from February:- "International Medical Devices Plc (IMD or the Company) is pleased to report that it has enjoyed an outstanding last six months following the acquisition of the medical distributor Meddis Ltd in September 2005. Following a very strong period of trading since then (the Meddis November sales were 29 per cent up on the same period in 2004), we anticipate a robust set of figures for our wholly owned subsidiary. IMD has also launched trials of its 'safe' thoracic drainage products across six NHS hospitals and anticipates substantial market penetration. In addition the needle buyer for the NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency (PASA) has agreed to support the fast-track launch of the Company's safe needle products into the NHS for launch in April. The Board continues to review growth opportunities in both domestic and international markets by both acquisition and the appointment of distributors across Europe and North America." Could be that they are getting all the placing news out of the way and then start with the good news next week hopefully. If so we could be getting buying opportunities. Not certain that we will though. | ged5
20/4/2006 07:38 | Well we are probably going backwards today Martin as 5p is cheap. The positive aspect is that institutions or large investors are happy to buy more shares, but as you say at 5p I'd love to get some. Company now has minimum of 800k pre tax profit though, with Meddis going great guns this should be well over £1m this year so company still undervalued. If we get back to 5p I'll be adding again big time.. | james t kirk
20/4/2006 07:07 | More cheap shares. Wonder why they need the money? | martincoops
20/4/2006 06:03 | Wish they would let me buy some at 5p :(( Results should be out in May, might try and give them a ring tomorrow to find out. | martincoops
18/4/2006 07:32 | Not long to find out now James, was that a large late buy I saw, 614,799. Nice if it is :)) | martincoops
18/4/2006 06:50 | 14p by the end of May - why not. If they can strike a big deal with the NHS you never know. The share's so illiquid it has the habit of moving on small trades although the buy volume has picked up significantly. Here's hoping.. | james t kirk
18/4/2006 05:37 | You best see your doctor about that mate!! Getting through 8p would be good start my target is 14p by end of May but I have always been an optimist. | martincoops
17/4/2006 19:45 | No problem, and don't worry it won't be a problem with your eyesight if we get past 8p this week - just got a feeling in my bones.. | james t kirk
17/4/2006 17:01 | Cheers James I must go back to Spec Savers for a check up! | martincoops
17/4/2006 16:51 | Thanks Martin, it was in the header, but maybe hidden, so I've put spaces between the lines (see above) | james t kirk
17/4/2006 16:15 | Just incase anybody wanted to check their website out it is at www.imd-plc.com and if you go to their profile you can download the prospectus. | martincoops
17/4/2006 06:48 | Sure hope so Ged5 I'll be quiet now then ;-) | martincoops
16/4/2006 12:26 | martin, stop talking to yourself :) Should be hearing something in the next couple of weeks. | ged5
14/4/2006 08:04 | Agreed martin, look at the volume in the chart above, it's building up nicely and it's nearly all buys. In my view this is getting ready for the April NHS start and further trading update. | james t kirk
13/4/2006 22:42 | Well blue was good Overhang still there as you can buy for 7.1p now. Nice to the price edging up and volume is still good. Cant be long until we get the news now. fingers x'ed | martincoops
13/4/2006 12:20 | I've added twice today, although not the 288k buy from earlier, neither trade showing yet. | james t kirk
12/4/2006 19:00 | neguss3 I hope you are right I see we had over 3 million buys today and you can still buy under mid price, overhang still in place looks like some investors are taking the profit from their new shares. I wonder how many are left before the overhang is cleared? | martincoops
12/4/2006 13:34 | One day this will be FTSE 100 company | neguss3
12/4/2006 00:15 | Still trying to figure all this out but I suspect that we have some form of income if these needles are used in Africa. If this is the case - IMD, with its associate company EMS, also intends to address the growing need for safe needles in sub-Saharan Africa where HIV is causing such devastation. To this end it is working with the Nelson Mandela Foundation. The World Health Organisation estimates that at least five per cent of HIV has been contracted through the use of unsterile needles. IMD's safe needles can be used once only and once retracted are fully secure. Trials begin in five NHS Trust hospitals of IMD's ClipOnTM safe needle device later this month and the needle buyer for the NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency (PASA) has agreed to support the fast-track launch of the Company's products into the Service for launch in April. The Company's assessment of the UK, European, South African and Australian markets indicates initial potential demand for the ClipOnTM safe retractable needle is in the order of 300 million units annually. Volumes in excess of 100 million units are anticipated to substantially reduce production costs and open up further markets. Then the following can only be good news but I am not 100% sure. Any ideas anybody | martincoops
11/4/2006 23:25 | Trying to figure out the increase in sales for Meddis Meddis sales for the year ended March 1 2005 were #1.985m, an increase of 12 per cent on the previous 12 months. I expect these to be £2.5 million now after there last bit of news Last month IMD reported that it has enjoyed an outstanding six months following the acquisition of the medical distributor Meddis Ltd in September 2005, with Meddis sales for last November up by 29 per cent over the same month in 2004 and January sales up 46 per cent on 2005 All looking good for the future | martincoops
11/4/2006 21:31 | Check the link out, gives some good info on the Clipon safe needle. | martincoops
10/4/2006 21:56 | Good volume today at 1.2 mil shares traded. Looked as if there was an overhang and that might be cleared now, will have to wait and see how it trades tomorrow. | martincoops
10/4/2006 18:02 | Im sure there are a few more lurkers around. Brought another 10k this morning and it was nice to the price firming up. Good luck all | martincoops
10/4/2006 17:01 | Still here gents | neguss3 |
