So funny ...

@ all here - agreed 100% on influencing share prices - it doesn't happen.

Even on a relatively small stock like this, that won't happen.

Which makes many of us wonder why a certain ramper/shorter/ramper seems to patrol it 24/7 with a program of repeat propaganda every time leading up to an apparent pump-and-dump procedure. And then a reverse program - rinse and repeat.

@ elmo1971

In that case, perhaps maybe someone should remind the resident ramper/shorter/ramper on the next occasion that he gets so over excited when crude drops by a percentage point.

Either crude oil price movements matter to IAG or they don't.

He can't have it both ways as suits, surely?

All anyone should seek in this respect is consistency.

Lol nobody here can even influence it a penny.

Please can we all accept that a handful of contributors on this BB whether shorters or rampers can not actually influence the share price?
Monty appears to have called the share price quite well(Thank you)but has never influenced it.

I would rather accept the CFOs statements than any ramper or short on this BB.
96% hedged for remainder of 2019 and 71% hedged for 2020.
Fuel tailwind next year.

From what we've all read here on this BB, IAG can't possibly be anywhere near fully hedged on fuel - otherwise why would the "oil expert" montyhedge get so excited every time crude oil dips a few cents? Surely it can't have it both ways?

I agree, the election won't be helpful......more uncertainty but the lure of a divi payout will tempt some.

have you allowed for IAG hedging fuel well into 2020.

Personally I see the share price doing well, especially if the Pilot IA is settled.
There appears to be the basis of an agreement with the EU, which will provide certainty for the airline industry in Europe.

The purchase of Air Europa appears to have been well received and they made a profit of circa 100m last year, I believe, which can only be net positive. Once the usual synergies are sorted out, this should improve.

In the short term dividends are due in the next few weeks, which usually attracts investors.

@ nedhammer

Sadly, according to some on this BB, it may be way lower than 500p if oil prices continue to surge ... IAG's last strike-ridden results illustrated just how exposed this business is to crude oil value fluctuations.

The serial ramper (unless it is short on a given week) montyhedge posted earlier today on an energy stock thread, a comment that, in effect and unless it did not understand its own logic, that it expects oil prices to go far higher for the next year at least.

Therefore the only logical conclusion here can be back to the 400s if montyhedge is proved right for once.

Personally I think that is too pessimistic and that IAG is fair value well above that level.

Maybe BALPA need some guidance from the RMT how to run a strike not the wishy washy one seen in September. Imagine the leprechauns face if BALPA set 27 days ....Priceless

RMT are cretins...move into the future...plenty of other more productive/interesting/stimulating/rewarding jobs to provide employment security in their industry. They do a valuable job and thoroughly decent people but poorly led by their Union.

If you thought BALPA and their strike action was bad. just have a thought for the people who use South Western Railways. Those wonderful people at the RMT have stated 27 days of strike action will take place in December....

I see Ryanair going to make more pilots redundant. More knocking on BA door. Balpa must be living in dreamland if they think they can get more than 11.5%.

I bet Balpa preparing a press release, they overplayed their hand, TC going bust was a game changer, now so many pilots knocking on BA's door looking for a job.
Worth 20p on the shareprice when settled.
