Decided on another 12,500 here. After all you do need to buy when they're actualy available! May well continue for some while though if someone continues to be willing to affload at these prices.

IGP's annual report came out later than last year, and the City goes on hols from mid July to Sept, so makes sense.

Re Roy, I just thought it interesting to actually put a definite fig on where a chunk of the revenue coming from. Also, no harm to have someone with influence on Board.

Why is the AGM on the 16th Sept this year when it was on the 2nd July last year? any reason for the extra 2 months delay?

Unless theres something going on that week...

Sory Ram, you have lost me with the last comment? what has Roy Hoggarth and BT global services got to do with IGP now? Yes BT is a client with the NHS but are you suggesting Roy is going to get more business for IGP in his new role?

more than the £418k?

Annual reports always hold a few snippets for the interested:

"Roy Hoggarth was made CEO of BT Global Services UK, an existing customer, in Sept 08. Sales made to BT Global Services during the year totalled £418k." (note 21 in annual report)

Good spot Ram. Interesting snip. I notice the share price although its says we are up 0.5p today the sell price has actually risen from 38p to 40p in the last few days and the spread is only 1p either side...

either news is due to come out or the MM's want to come out to play. When is the AGM? is anyone going and if so could you ask them for an update on the TWIC project and where they see that going. The cards issued seem to keep rising and rising and I know they said it has the potential for 6m cards to be issued but what revenue is this project bringing in...

Also an update on the recent court case would be nice.

London, 30 June 2009.
The rollout of identity cards will be accelerated under new proposals set out today by Home Secretary Alan Johnson, highlighting the benefits of identity cards to those who need them most.

In addition to residents of Greater Manchester, who will be able to apply for an Identity card before the end of this year, residents in locations across the North West will be entitled to apply from early next year.

Identity fraud costs the UK economy £1.2 billion on average each year. At a cost of just £30, the identity card will provide a cheap, universal and simple proof of identity, helping protect against ID fraud and acting as an important tool in the fight against organised crime, illegal working and terrorism.

In rolling out identity cards, the Government also intends to focus attention on young people, for whom they will act as a proof of age, helping prove an individual's right to enter premises or buy goods. They will also empower communities tackling anti-social behaviour and crime by allowing local retailers, including pubs and supermarkets, to help ensure they aren't selling restricted goods to those who are underage.

The Home Secretary, said:
"There will be significant benefits to individuals from holding an identity card, which will become the most convenient, secure and affordable way of asserting identity in everyday life. Identity cards will also be valid for travel throughout Europe in place of a British passport.

"That is why I have announced today that I intend to see their introduction speeded up. The benefits are not just for individuals but also for communities where a reliable proof of age will be invaluable in the fight against underage drinking and young people trying to buy knives. But at the same time, these cards will benefit young people who, on average, have to prove their age more than twice as often as adults and I want to make that process simple and secure."

The Government will also be looking at options which could allow pensioners aged 75 and over to receive an identity card free of charge.

As part of plans to speed up the rollout of identity cards, the Home Secretary has also asked the UK Border Agency to review its successful roll out of compulsory identity cards for foreign nationals to see how it too can be accelerated.

With 50,000 identity cards for foreign nationals already issued to people legally living and working in the UK, the UK Border Agency is helping tackle illegal working and supporting legitimate workers and businesses to play by the rules.

Under current plans, all non EEA foreign nationals coming to the UK for more than six months, or extending their stay here, are to have a card within three years.

The Government has also taken the decision to make identity cards voluntary for airside workers, planned initially at Manchester and London City airports.

Airside workers will continue to be encouraged to obtain an identity card, which they can do for free, making it quicker and simpler for background checks to be carried out to verify an individual's identity as part of the airside pass-issuing process. Obtaining an identity card will also improve the movement of reference checks between employers and airports, creating greater flexibility for employers and staff.

Oversight of the National Identity Service remains an essential part of delivering identity cards and the appointment of an independent Identity Commissioner will be made shortly.

IGP have bids in in lots of other projects so positive news could be any-time.
lots of big projects up for grabs in the middle-east involving 10,s of millions, and big projects up for grabs in the states FBI data-base etc so dont start to panic otherwise you will miss out on lots of future bucks.

ps you cant chart aim companies, they go up with news flow and drip down when things go quite, noboby sure when the news arrives so its not worth charting AIM companies.

What's your concern C?
Yep, they've come back slightly since those excellent results a month ago, which was to be expected given the near doubling in the share price.

But the results were far better than I, and many other expected and I'm more inclined to invest for the medium/long term than bet against day-to-day swings.

Short term they may come off a few more, who knows. Then again they are now in an enviable position product wise with strong B/S and surely a tasty morsel for a larger fish.

Kind regards,
GHF

Article in the metro today that the UK ID card scheme is to ramp up. Rather than the rollout to just the London city and Manchester airports, the government will roll it out across the whole of london (7m people) and the whole of Manchester area.

Every chance regarding that iraq project involvement gmoney, 300 million budject and a large data-base, means possible good news to me. you would expect thales to be the contractor.

lots of middle-east, north african id contracts up for grabs and alot of these will involve 10,s of millions of folks.

Lots of massive projects coming out over the next few years, for us to be involved in, i feel the long-term holders will make a hell of a few bucks out of igp..
