Well done Miahkaysor ..... do you reckon there will be some big trades announced after the close? I hope everything posted here makes sense and doesn't look like rampant ramping

I think the DP&G and Motive sectors as identified by IEH will provide the impetus for the share price to rise. As I've mentioned before DP&G is the breadwinner at the moment but Motive could outshine that IMO and DP&G is currently 120M PA turnover.

Drones make nice headlines, but are only likely to gain traction in applications such as Agri and Mapping and won't make serious money again IMO.

Exactly Uni Hall .... OEMs PAY IEH to embed IEH intellectual property in their products, IEH get an income stream from licensing .... like ARM .... that income stream will be growing ....

I prefer this kind of trading ... nothing so dramatic it will attract day traders .... I don#t foresee a rush to sell pre close though I wouldn't be at all surprised to see some tree shakes between now and news .... I also wouldn't be at all surprised to see find any RNS are very low key ... it just seems to be IEH's style .... they put out a really depressing RNS a while ago about the company perhaps not continuing as a going concern ... I read that as them covering themselves for a worst case scenario ... I was pretty certain by then this wouldn't fold and even if it did, the administrators would break the company up into bits that would sell for a lot of money ..... on top of that governments ... very, very quietly would want to make sure any military advantage they had via using IEH technology was not going to be lost ... if all else had failed, they'd have been given money to continue research into something ... fascinating times

This, from the company's front page..

We develop technology that is tailored to suit our partners’ power technology needs – collaborating from early in the design process and embedding our proprietary technology platforms into their products.

The more I think about "joining the dots" .... Henri Winand said, post-Dieselgate, IEH had been very busy fielding enquiries about HFCs .... one presumes those calls were from car manufacturers who could see they needed a different source of fuel ... VW, big German company, a bit embarrassing for the country which has a very powerful Green political lobby, the EU were already running this HFC project lead by IEH anyway, Paris Accord (maybe the only reason it was a success was because at the time of agreeing it, many EU governments KNEW they were going to lower their CO2 emissions ANYWAY by taxing polluting vehicles to death and passing the money onto drivers of cleaner cars as subsidies ... I reckon that's the strategy .... dieselgate, EU project, Daimler involved, Paris Accord, CO2 levels must come down, politically air quality levels are untenable, race to zero emission vehicles, batteries impractical because of charging times and lithium shortages hence the race to hydrogen .... shown by the stream of new guff that I find every day on better ways to produce hydrogen and use it ..... whatever is happening, for whatever reason, people are paying double for shares in IEH than they were last week ...

THE JOBS RECENTLY ADVERTISED OVER THE SUMMER WERE ALL RELATED TO CREATING A PROJECT TEAM JUST FOR THE AUTOMOTIVE MARKET.

So this news closes that circle...the company has four Asian collaborators who funded the development of the 90Kw HFC focused entirely on transport/ cars.

Hence we should start to see contracts in the offering imo very soon...perhaps at the motor show in October.

Projects coming to fruition?

www.greencarcongress.com/2015/10/20151013-ie.html

so Daimler were one of the manufacturers engaged in the EU funded project described in the link above

"Pricing issues

It initially planned to launch such a vehicle in 2014 but had to postpone, blaming pricing issues.

The fuel cell operated SUV GLC, likely to compete with Toyota's Mirai, is now expected to enter production next year."

So Daimler plan to start producing an HFC powered car in 2017 ... they've also been working with IEH ...... pricing issues disrupted a 2014 start of production but, one presumes, after "dieselgate", the Germans and other EU governments .... not the UK's decided to subsidise the purchase and running of zero emission cars ... perhaps by taxing the living daylights out of more polluting cars. Expect the UK government to lag far behind and drag out adopting HFC powered cars as long as possible ....

so perhaps the spate of jobs advertised on the IEH website are to do with the manufacture of fuel cells to go into the car daimler will start producing next year!

Mr. Weber also said Daimler would launch its fourth-generation electric Smart car at the end of the year in both two and four-seater variants.

Plug-in hybrids

Daimler currently offers two fully electric cars under its Smart and B-class models and a host of plug-in hybrids, powered by a combined battery and combustion engine.

Further hybrid models are in the pipeline.

The company is aiming to sell more than one lakh electric cars a year by the end of the decade, Mr. Weber said.

He declined to provide the sales figure for 2015.Daimler has also been working on fuel cell powered cars, which run on electricity generated by hydrogen.

Proton diffusion discovery a boost for fuel cell technologies

author Added by FuelCellsWorks, September 14, 2016

Scientists at the University of Liverpool have made an important breakthrough which could lead to the design of better fuel cell materials.

In a paper published in 'Nature Communications', they demonstrate how they synthesised nanometre-sized cage molecules that can be used to transport charge in proton exchange membrane (PEM) applications.

Proton-exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs) are considered to be a promising technology for clean and efficient power generation in the twenty-first century.

Thank you iBug ... I don't think so .... it's not impossible ... I suppose it depends on what leaks there have been ... maybe some analysts have been to Capital Market Days at other companies, realise the sector is booming almost by the day and that IEH will do particularly well out of it. There will be analysts who have deep suspicions and knowledge of stuff IEH can't put into an RNS because of NDAs ... hence why, in many respects, PIs have to go on gut feeling and try and get into companies early making a killing when the big boys decide to get involved and start throwing big money at the Minnows they expect to become Carp ..... yes, I do know that Minnows are members of the Carp family .... and they taste dreadful ..... I'm not saying a breakout won't happen ... it's just that with no news, I reckon another one so soon is asking a bit much ... it'd be nice ... but going up 10% a week will do me fine! Have a good 'un ..... ooo ... up 15% odd now ... I sill don't see a break out .... though some people who are a bit "underwater" may jump ship .... we'll see ..... I'm pretty serene about all this kerfuffle since I'm in IEH long anyway ... I had quite a substantial sum of money and wanted to know where to store it ... I dabbled in a few shares including IEH and it's IEH I concentrated on ... no point leaving money in the bank ... it's going backwards in real terms and what happened to Glencore et al put me off the FTSE 100 and, amazingly enough, it seems it's the Small caps that are outperforming the rest of the London markets ... even though IEH isn't listed on AIM ... to be honest, I'll be happy when this progresses up to the FTSE 350 or 250 ... I cannot see this staying away from those markets for long ... the lack of an RNS could perhaps be a sign this IS a proper company. many AIM companies dish out RNS like confetti ....... "reserves at Worawanga rise by 5%" and AIM BBs are full of people saying "light the blue touch paper" and "I'd hate to be out of this over the weekend" as they're selling into any rise they manage to foment ..... I did OK with Fulcrum and I've always had half an eye on Filtronic ... time for dindins now! Chow! :-)

THE MARKET will most likely move in the direction of nanotube constructed anodes which have shown promising results to extract several times more energy/ H2 from water solutions.

Once developed and incorporated into HFC designs we may then see a 90 KW H2 cell to provide a 1000 mile range for a small family car which is currently 400 miles using a Hyundai HFC powered vehicle.

The future of hydrogen fuel cells is actually quite amazing as the developments pile into the market imo.

This is the best place to invest.

more hot off the presses ..... if you read back through my posts, you'll see references to membranes .... IEH obviously have competition but it would be illogical (captain) to assume all their patents are worthless just because someone somewhere makes an HFC related discovery. If it helps drive the sector forward, all the better of IEH and anyway, maybe IEH can make a fortune just being "patent trolls" :-)

I reckon it's either buys depicted as sells or MMs are short of shares and having to pay over the bid which is currently 14p. The last trade I can see was a "sell" at 14.215. The spread's tiny.

One point worth noting is UBS (IEH's brokers) have never published a rating for IEH. It'll be interesting how many brokers do give ratings after the 21st. It'll at least give us a lot more analysis to ponder and an average between many brokers is likely to be more accurate so long as none of them have clients that want to buy IEH on the cheap.

Good luck all .... I suppose friday's rise piqued the curiosity of people who had never heard of IEH and never thought a bout the sector ... they may well have waited for the froth from friday to subside before entering the market. The share price may drift up and down a bit but, in the long term (which is what interests me) getting in a few pence away from the bottom is hardly a disaster if this gets anywhere near some brokers' previous ratings.

There seems to be upward pressure on the share price today. Almost all of the trades have been indicated as sells so far which should have encouraged it down a touch (there is very little trading activity happening on IEH today), but it's held so far and now ticked up. Hopefully some investors will take a positive position in the run up to the 21st (i.e. the Analyst and Investor Day).
