The company II mediator own 75% of the stock and will likely sell the business by 2019....The convertible notes are therefore not a problem.

That must be right

The single most worrying issue with IEH is not whether it will deliver, which it should do but the loan Stock conversion @8p for control

It's coming ... bit by bit .... gathering momentum ...

The great thing about this is that as hydrogen becomes more easily available, it becomes easier for people to adopt hydrogen on their own .... buy a fuel cell and a couple of hydrogen tanks that can be filled in the same way as cars and many electrical devices currently tethered to the mains become free to move around .... the possibilities are endless ... just wait until the entertainment industry gets used to this idea ... safety lights in tunnels during power cuts ... it struck me Police wouldn't use electric cars since, if there was an attack on the electricity grid, they'd be stuffed once the batteries were flat ... police HFC cars can have gas tanks allowing ranges far exceeding ICE vehicles ... and paying policemen to sit in cars at least 90 mins whilst they charge? Makes them an expensive option.

This easier access to hydrogen is vital ... the great thing about the HFC on the Bergman scooter was that it can be detached and taken with you ... so you ride your Bergman to your boat ... take the HFC on the boat ... which has hydrogen on it or you bring a cannister with you ... and the Bergman's HFC powers your phone, laptop etc. on your boat, maybe even recharges the battery on your electric outboard motor ... will maybe even fit ONTO your boat's outboard motor ... when you get back to dock, you take the HFC, stuff it back into your Bergman and ride home ....

It is worth noting that IEH have a presence in both Japan and China; do not rule out business deals being done in either territories.

Using the phrase "intelligent energy" isn't the same as referring to "Intelligent Energy" the company I suppose. One wonders why MMC use the phrase "intelligent energy" on their web site on the page of an HFC drone but hide the text. It shows up in a google search but not on the page.

I presume IEH know about this. Maybe I'll give them a call.

Since the interdrone show last September the company said during an interview that they expected to be doing deals with OEM's in the months following the Last Vegas show.

Which means that contract news should be coming our way very soon.

It actually makes more economic sense for IEH to be doing business with EU/ USA drone manufacturers than Chinese.

The MMC drone is not, repeat NOT powered by Intelligent Energy's hydrogen fuel cell. I emailed James Penn at MMC on Monday and received the reply: 'We are working together with Catic on the Tactic Hydrone 1800 project, at the same time, we have our own Hydrone 1500, a different model, for commercial use only.' CATIC is China National Aero-Technology Import and Export Corporation - 'the primary channel for introducing the Chinese aviation industry to the world'. Although IE did sign a letter of intent in January 2016 with a 'major drone manufacturer to develop hydrogen fuel cell powered drones'. Hopefully, that is an American company as it would be financially more beneficial than working with a Chinese company.

I know, I know ... I should get a girlfriend but instead I have a fetish for digging out nuggets about the advance of hydrogen and how it might help IEH ....

Not REALLY new news but ... just think ... in the last few days ... we have found that the allegedly best hydrogen powered drone uses IEH HFC stacks and it's a star of a defence trade show in Abu Dhabi NOW, that The Met Police are trialling the HFC powered scooters IEH make with Suzuki, that IEH have an order for 600 HFCs announced in yesterday's RNS and Toyota are co-operating with Suzuki on zero emission vehicles and we all know IEH have a JV with Suzuki (SMILE FC SYSTEMS CORP).

IEH's boss DID say there was a lot going on but nothing that could be announced. The info re the drone has had to be dug up. IEH were not volunteering that, the idea Toyota's tie up with Suzuki is good news for IEH is pure speculation and The Met may hate the fuel cell scooters .... but, it's been a pretty good last few days ... and for very obvious reasons, I cannot see The Met using electric cars. I suppose now, we just need to see if there is any profitable life in the GTL deal ... a few people have mentioned how the gensets IEH's HFCs are going into could be used for off-grid mobile phone masts in India ..... one presumes GTL have to power masts with something ..... and if the Indians were proving impossible to do business with, they're the ones who will be left with no mobile phone signals.

The uses for HFCs is almost limitless ... if the disappeared Malaysian Airlines plane's beacon had been powered by an HFC with a big fat tub of hydrogen stuck to it, maybe it would have sent out a signal to searching craft for longer ... so many applications

Here we go. Text from MMC's web site

">Hydrogen-powered Multirotor UAV HYDrone-1800, MMC new R & D multicopter that flies for more than 4 hours, covers a distance of up to 100km, and is able to operate below -20 degrees Celsius, stands as a foundation for further development in the professional UAV industry. With the intelligent energy “Hydrogen fuel” and super advancedstructure design, the HyDrone 1800 can fly the longest, cover the largest distances and carry significant payload, so that it can be widely used in search and rescue, inspections, monitoring, security and so on."

and

"Hydrogen-powered multirotor HyDrone - 1800, it holds the world record long flight time 273 min (4 hours 33min) and reaches more than 100 km radius. With six-axis designed & tapered arms and plug in structure, HYDrone 1800 drone has a one piece composite carbon fiber material frame which is industry proofs (water, fire and dust). In case of insufficient power, the hydrogen-powered drone has auto landing solution and a GPS waypoint navigation setting. It provides image transfers and can be controlled remotely at long ranges. HYDrone 1800 is used in various complicated hazardous environments and harsh weather. Although, currently used in power, energy and security industries, it provides immense spectrum of solutions and applications."

You are right we have seen this coming since early last summer.

In the military H2 generation from water is a far better solution than shipping truck loads of diesel into the field.

You know I have been banging on for years about IEH's "military" work ..... just as significant as the RNS are the channels reporting on it .... like this one

Looking at the kind of stuff these channels normally cover, I'm even more convinced there are military uses for these gensets .... soldiers need light ... ops rooms need light, canteens, field hospitals .... imagine how many gensets could be sold to the US Army, US Airforce, US Navy (IEH working with Boeing AND Airbus on power for planes in terms of propulsions and when at chocks ......

.... but really, we've known about this for ages ..... it's just nice to get confirmation .... we knew this was coming which is why we never sold up ...

Regarding the Luxfer-MMC deal for 1kw systems may have been published following a firm volume and schedule commitment. More orders may follow for 5kw, 10kw and a 100kw in development and nearing completion. Firm volume orders warrant RNS announcements without compromising a business opportunity.

As far as IEH's "secrecy" is concerned, there are lots of reasons for this and any company that is operating at the cutting edge of its field and applying for patents on the back of R&D will keep schtum about a lot of stuff ... what is interesting is how many companies IEH work with also keep schtum. Luxfer were marketing their HFC gen sets ages ago with no mention if IEH. Anyone could have read Luxfer's blurb and concluded they were making their own HFCs.

Chinese drone manufacturer MMC introduces the next generation of its hydrogen drone

-an almost indestructible, long endurance aircraft equipped for military applications.

19 February 2017

Abu Dhabi, UAE - The International Defense Exhibition and Conference (IDEX 2017) was unveiled today at Abu Dhabi national exhibition center. Together with CATIC at the exhibition, drone manufacturer MMC, global leader in industrial and military drones and developers of the first hydrogen drone, introduced the next generation of its hydrogen technology, designed for the military: HyDrone 1800. The superior product was an immediate success and attracted a constant stream of visitors.

The carbon-fiber HyDrone 1800 is an almost indestructible aircraft. Designed for use in the toughest conditions, the drone is wind-resistant, rain-resistant, cold-resistant and still incredibly lightweight. Most importantly, HyDrone 1800's hydrogen fuel cell technology provides a flight endurance of 4 hours or of a stunning 50+ hours when combined with MMC tethered technology. The endurance of the hydrogen drone changes the scope of applications dramatically: most military or industrial drones currently on the market are limited by flight times of under 1 hour. HyDrone 1800 achieves the extended flight time while maintaining altitude limits of 4500 meters – competitive or better than other similar sized aircraft – and a payload capacity of up to 5kg.

Hydrogen fuel cell technology is a breakthrough for drones. The technology is an environmentally friendly solution towards a drone industry bottleneck: flight endurance. Constructed for safety and durability, an auxiliary lithium battery starts the fuel cell and provides a backup source of power for the drone. The properties of hydrogen fuel not only allow for extraordinary flight time, but extend the ideal temperature range for operation. Hydrogen drones can be flown in extreme temperatures – from -10 degrees Celsius to 40 degrees Celsius.

"This technology is the next step forward for military grade drones," says MMC's founder Lu Zhi Hui. "It's safe, it's effective, it's proven – and the endurance is unmatched by other power sources.

Cheers Norbus but I'd have preferred a less nerve shredding ride. Lots of reasons to presume growth from here. Even those who doubt climate change don't want their kids breathing filthy air. Diesel's future is poor. I think the tipping point may arrive quite quickly where it becomes clear where the future lies then there's a mad rush to get in as cheap as possible ..... I'm still waiting to see if the military applications for mini HFC stacks and embedded HFCs ever gets revealed since anything that gives soldier A an advantage over Soldier B can be classified. IEH are already reticent when it comes to releasing RNS (which I like)

Right direction now - although it will be 'interesting' to see what impact this has on cash burn... At least it *must* have slowed it down. So IEH will be around for a few more months on top of what they had in the bag already.

Luxfer-GTM moves to efficient new facility

author Added by FuelCellsWorks, December 16, 2016

Luxfer-GTM moves to efficient new facility in Port of Catoosa, Okla., significantly increasing manufacturing capabilities.

PORT OF CATOOSA, Okla.—Luxfer-GTM Technologies, a joint venture between GTM Technologies and Luxfer Group (NYSE: LXFR), has moved into a new production facility here in a modern, 2,000-acre industrial park. Situated on the Arkansas River near Tulsa, Okla., the Port of Catoosa is the largest inland port in the USA.

•The CPR™ (constant-pressure refueler) supplies a continuous source of high-pressure hydrogen to fill 5,000-psig tanks used on hydrogen-powered forklifts that are replacing traditional battery-operated forklifts in warehouses of Walmart, Nike, BMW and other leading companies.

•ZeroSet™ hydrogen fuel cell generators are the first commercially available, portable, zero-emission, zero-noise power systems that can provide continuous electrical power for up to 18 days before refueling is needed. Fuel cells offer 60 percent operating efficiencies compared to traditional gasoline- or diesel-powered generators, which are only 20 to 25 percent efficient.

“Thanks to our new facility, we now have the capacity not only to build these existing products, but also to keep adding innovative new products to our line,” Koonce said.
