I suspect RB hasn’t taken a wage increase as it would be counter productive.

Re the cln - he could just defer it for 6-12 months if he can see what’s coming or he could convert at the 35p level.

Either of those options would show alot of confidence in his targets for the coming months.

Either way he hasn’t bought for a while so I suspect he could be restricted so let’s see what’s coming.

I think a few forget this is the man that took on hurricanes board in court and won and managed to oust the de la rue chief.

He’s no idiot.

Sometimes one just has to have a little faith and trust.

I’m as much in the dark as everyone else but RB isn’t a man to rest on his laurels and throw good money after bad. The fca tie in will not have gone unnoticed in the city trust me.

As with every industry right now things are just taking a bit longer than they used too and that’s across the board.

Well, I assume we will learn the terms of the CLN rollover on Monday, another accompanying handout of unearned shares as a reward for what exactly? - plus is this something a bank manager normally asks for in return for a secured loan? - is likely to severely damage the company's credibility should it happen imo.

No non exec directors around either sadly.

We do not have the cash, or free cash flow to support such extravagance

Clearly something is drastically wrong for such a minnow to allow cash it doesn't have to be spent in such a way.

Assuming RB has, in fact, taken a corresponding salary hike, which I seriously doubt as it would not be in his interests to do so, and he hardly needs the money - his shareholding being a much greater motivation. A salary hike is not a tax efficient way for him to cycle money around either, gifting 45%+ to the taxman - as well as increasing the funding requirement, and he is an accountant.

I'm not comparing them in any sense other than giving the lie to the obsessively repeated claim on here that an Exec CEO and Chairman is some kind of monsterous abberation we need to be overly concerned about when there are more pressing issues. You can equally find examples among smaller companies if you take the trouble looking.

No idea how you can compare 2 of the worlds biggest companies to a tiny aim company running on gas!

It is not, in fact, that unusual to have an Exec CEO and Chairman, at the top end both Microsoft and Amazon have done it for example. However, it usually only transitional, for a year or so, most commonly when the new CEO is learning the ropes and the old CEO is now the chairman. Whether it is transitional or not here, only time will tell.

I am more concerned about the terms of the imminent CLN rollover at the moment.

Im really surprised everyone on the BB has ignored the elephant in the room as to us now having both an Exec Chairman and CEO. It really is very unusual especially as the finances do not support both on high remuneration

.

There will be news this week, if only about the CLN, I suppose a trading update at the same time is possible, but who would bet on it ....
