THE CHRISTMAS party season is set to be a cracker for InnovaDerma PLC, the UK developer of hair regrowth range Roots and self-bronzer Skinny Tan.

very good long article- snippet

“Roots is doing exceptionally well in Superdrug, a testament to our first success with Skinny Tan that sells strongly throughout the year both in Britain and now Ireland. Its non-seasonal dimension demonstrates its market potential,” adds Chaudhry who is seeing the knock-on benefits of skimpy glitter fashion trends.

“Sales spike especially around Christmas and New Year when customers are planning their party outfits,” he says.

To kick off peak retail season, savings during the Black Friday (November 24) period will include a limited edition Rose Gold 7 Day Tanner for Marie Curie in Superdrug.

Success for InnovaDerma’s multi-action confidence boosters has dovetailed with increasing demand for anti-ageing products in a looks-focussed world.

Croas when you quote sales numbers from
SD.com I assume you are quoting gross revenue to Superdrug? Likely revenue to IDP will only be half of that depending on the wholesale price?

repeat sales will currently be a small % of total sales as the focus will be very much on attracting new buyers. Having looked at the reviews I've no doubt the product will become 'sticky' and repeat buyers will become key as the product matures.

Roots sales looks to be a similar trajectory to ST. Comparing historical ST sales, and the numbers Croasdale & Boon are sharing I'd say Roote is at the same place ST was back in mid 2015. So wind the clock forward to 2019 then sales of £10m is not unrealistic for Roots.

In fact given IDP's learning on the use of Socisl Media and the non seasonal nature of the product the 2 year gap might well close.

Roots is cetainly getting going now.
The real secret sauce is when new customers become repeat purchasers.

63 Roots items sold in 24 hours in Superdrug.com. Full price for £750. Add that to the £1000 on DTC and 400 store sales and yesterday they must have taken £3k minimum
