not sure about the pre-tax being same as OP disappointment in post above, surely only different is interest so not sure what the point is? Let's see how Mr market takes them AFTER the roadshow, sometimes PIs in a tightly held share such as this sell on the news, bit of a dip, then the city pile in if they like the story. let's see

Like Boon I'm slightly disappointed. But we had an ops update 8 days ago which gave us news they could have saved for results.Disappointed they didn't buy the remaining 9% of Skinny Tan . The 11%. Bought in the year cost £225k.Not much talk of roll out in the US.Not much talk about Skinny Tan professional. Not much talk about brand extensions for Skinny Tan - for instance St Tropez sell make up like face masks and bronzer . A cult brand like Skinny Tan could sell that.On the positive - gross margin better than expected and even higher than 63% in the second half - more like 65% New Haircare products to come like dry shampoo which is all the rage at the mo.Enbright in new markets like Africa and Australia - large Asian population in Aussie.Stevie K in a UK high Street retailer - probably Boots I'll post other thoughts later

Revenue will definitely be weighted to the second half as that's when we enter peak tanning season. Plus there are numerous product launches towards the end of the first half and into the second half.Clearly this is a great long term hold.

Not particularly impressive those results, these were well flagged, they state profits will be weighted to the second half, suggests that momentum will slow , and some might view that as a veiled profits warning, and cash flow very poor! I do not like cos. that report pre-tax as the same as operating profits, these make the returning figures as very obscure.

Cannot fathom how you could be disappointed by that CEO outlook and chairman review. It's fantastic.Since the end of the financial year we're told of consecutive record breaking months - clearly each in excess of £1mAnd we're told again the financial performance will be weighted to the second half of the year. Obvious we are going to smash the FY18 estimates.Gross margins will improve again and overhead %-sell will reduce too.

Last week's news could have been saved for this week's results, but really it makes no difference. What matters is the underlying business. I suppose the big question is whether it would need funding in the event that it needed to hold bigger levels of stock for new product launches, but now it is building a track record of profitability bank lending becomes an option rather than placings. All good stuff imo

Oops, soz, shows what happens when you are trying to read an RNS quickly while doing your teeth and putting your work clothes on at the same time hehe...must improve multi-tasking....either way, decent OP and continued growth in OP will do in what will be a few years of high growth product launches and new distribution deals. Early days in creating a global company, Rome wasn't built in a day etc...GLA and will continue to hold....

Knew it. Profit slightly better than we were told it would be with only a few weeks of the financial year remaining. And a few on here trying to create negativity. We were given an ops update days ago and the outlook is mega bullish.

Maybe its your fault and you expect too much....tell you what though....go away and come back with a list of all the companies you find whose profits have tripled in 12 months.

And with Roots launching in Superdrugs 400 best stores I think the growth will be continuing.....quite apart from any of the other initiatives.

Am I the only one slightly disappointed with the announcement? It's pretty much as expected, but I was hoping for a bit more information on current trading and details of new launches. For example Stevie k will launch in quarter 1 with a high street retailer. To meet this target it has to launch in the next three weeks. So why not name the retailer?
