UK Retail sales are dire, consumers feeling the pinch big time, many still living month to month on credit cards, consumer debt bubble is gigantic.

It's going to be a rough few years ahead for many. Can't see these maintaining lofty valuations for too much longer, if there is a spike above 400p, it's a short in my books.

The last 3 days have seen very high tracked sales figures on ST.co.uk - is it the post holiday effect? The ladies want to maintain their Summer tan?£49.5k in 3 days with the last 24 hours achieving a new 'record' of £19.5kAs usual add on 20-25% to get a true picture of total sales on ST.co.ukPrevious record was about £18k in June I think - it's difficult to remember

The long - that's difficult to assess as my increased tracked sales might be just because I can track more ! If I could track all sales I could keep a spreadsheet and be confident of revenue totals.As it is I can track many products and quite a lot of special offers but there are about 12-15 specials I can't track - some are very old specials but are still available on their website though the FB clinical click links don't go through to them.My guess is I can track 75-80% but some months it drops to 65-75%.For instance since 8am I have tracked £10k worth of sales - about 55% of those sales is one special offer - 177 sold @£30 - but now that Special has sold out - they might restock , they might not.I have noticed an increase in sales since the end of the Bank holiday which is unusual given sales usually drop a bit during the week and pickup again from Thursday onwards through the weekend.Let's see what happens now that special has sold out.No it's the Summer Sale of Express Mousse and they have sold 2000 over the last couple of weeks.

That was me who shared it. Two weeks ago it was on the bottom shelf now it is in a prominent place on the top shelf. Hopefully a sign of the belief Superdrug have in the product

Someone in our twitter group has shared a picture of Roots on sale in Superdrug on Oxford Street:Top row and most prominent packaging - the product size and colour really stands out.

£16k sales tracked in last 24 hours - then add on the usual 20-25%£16k is at the upper end of the spectrum of daily sales. I think my 'record' is £18k in a day.

The Aussie DTC channel should start to stock the modern branded ST products from later today. Not sure what they will go with the old stock as they still have about $1m worth. I guess they could flog it in the US for another 6 months and then rebrand the US for the next tanning season.They have also been selling the Aussie stock cheap on the UK DTC channel for months.
