I think the unknown for monday's update is performance from the new European e-trailers and the USA. We know performance in the U.K. has been excellent and exponential. The brief trading updates from the USA have also been positive including the Dtc platform as well- remember this market only opened up in November 16 and hence will have a real impact in H2. Add in Euro e-trailers and the newly acquired Charles + Lee ( sales included from April 17) and the prof salon sales - all new in H2. That's why I believe sales will surprise on the upside and I would not be surprised sales of near 10m for the year.

The last few posts have been a bit of an eye opener to me.It is now clear to me that there are a few people on here who clearly know what they are talking about- balances out all those who just blow hot air!

Accordingly I am going to bow out.

Thanks everyone for your company over the last few weeks. It was my first experience of forums ,and I have learned a lot (more about the workings of forums rather than the technical stuff. )

Anyhow ,here,s to Monday morning. Hope that we all end up a little bit richer as a result of being invested in IDP!

To conclude,:forums are not going to change the world ,but they are pretty harmless :also if you are not careful you can get too caught up in the posts ,and it can become a little personal (it happened to me)

All part of life,s rich tapestry!

'sIDP's Skinny Tan, Body Glow and Stevie K brands would sit well with L'Oreal's and Estée Lauder's recent record of acquiring brands targeting the millenials:

2008 - YSL Beaute acquired for $1.7bn by L’Oréal.
2012 - Urban Decay acquired for c$300m by L’Oréal.
2014 - Nyx Professional Makeup aquired for $500m by L’Oréal.
2016 - IT Cosmetics acquired for $1.2bn by L’Oréal .
Nov 2016 - Too Faced cosmetics for $1.45bn by Estée Lauder.
Jan 2017 - Valeant's 'CeraVe, AcneFree and AMBI' skincare brands acquired for $1.3bn by L'Oreal.

I think it is almost inevitable that if the growth continues IDP will receive a takeover approach from L’Oréal or Estée Lauder. It is just the way it is. Being quoted on the full list (not AIM) also helps with credibility.

Social media marketing to their existing client base costs IDP very little. Also any distributors and retailers do their own marketing. Also sellers are now coming to IDP asking to stock their products, not the other way around.

Boon and Hottingup good posts and I agree with a lot of what you sayI think HC has rightly identified color cosmetics as a huge growth industry but it is very competitive . Does Stevie K have a USP or a niche market to gain share ? I'm not sure and I guess we need to wait and see what traction it gains. Margin should be very high though I suspect they will need to spend a fair chunk of that on marketing.

This stock is so hyped, any slip at all Monday and the market will punish severely.

You don't use patents to protect cosmetics, but Trade Marks, proprietary names, image and marketing, which is what IDP have, just like other companies. IDP also have other types of protection on the life science products, including patents (e.g. Prolong is patented in 72 countries).

Listen from 16 minutes onwards:

HC mentions Nyx Makeup aquired for $500m in 2014, and IT Cosmetics acquired for $1.2 billion in 2016 by L'oreal. Then listen to the rest about the growth story at IDP.

I could also add - In Jan 2017 L'Oreal purchased the CeraVe, AcneFree and AMBI skincare brands from Valeant for $1.3 billion, and in Nov 2016 Estée Lauder purchased Too Faced cosmetics for $1.4bn.

Market Capitalisation of recently listed cosmetics company W7L = £166m @ 257.5p (16/6/2017). £166m market cap for IDP = 1264p (16/6/2017)

I think that we are singing from the same hymn sheet.

When I was an IFA my investment horizons were at least 5 years and normally longer when retirement planning

Nothing has changed now that I am a private investor.

The only difference is now that I "get my kicks" from the shorter term movements.

Also ,ignore the behavior of m m,s at your peril! It allcomes into timing your sales and purchases

P S Sports Direct was recommended bySCSW and I made a few bob myself on them !

I wish people on here would actually listen properly to the Vox markets podcast with HC.At no time did he infer that IDP would be a billion dollar or pound company or get take out for £billion. When asked about IP and the fact that IDP has no IP HC said it was no problem and compared it to FEVR valued over £1billion who also have no IP. He also compared the lack of IP for the Dollar Shave Club which was bought by Unilever for a Billion in cash. That's it. 2+2 = 4 not 7,9 or even a billion .

From IDP's Interim Results (9/2/2017):

"the Company is in discussions with PROS Korea to address distribution of the Company's products in China, Russia and Japan."

Presumably this will reactivate the cancelled HoA for a distribution deal originally entered into early last year with PROS, then suspended, which stated:

"The HoA signed in Sydney between the two parties stipulates the distributor committing to purchase InnovaDerma’s existing and new products with a minimum revenue commitment by the distributor towards InnovaDerma™ of US $3.8m during 2016 increasing to US $10m in 2017 and US $20m in 2018."

Roll the $ numbers forward to 2018, 2019 and 2020, and there could be another $3.8m, $10m and $20m revenues in each year respectively, just from a distribution deal with PROS - particularly now IDP's product range has been significantly expanded.

I'm just a stay at home dad. However I do know that you blabbing on about short term share prices and market maker tricks doesn't instill me with much confidence in you as a financial advisor. Short term share price movements are unimportant. It's how the business is performing and will continue to perform that is important. My first ten bagger for example was sports direct, I believed it was significantly undervalued at 60p when I bought it. To my surprise it went down 50%, however I didn't panic and trusted my research it subsequently 11 bagged for me. So I will never worry about short term share price performance that isn't related to a material change in the investment case.

I sold my 500+ clients on to another IFA. (these clients included a 4 million pound lottery winner who is now worth more than double that thanks to my in-depth investment knowledge and expertise.)

I always told my clients that if their IFA wasn,t ,himself,in a position to retire 10 years early then he should not be giving investment advice to other people !

How does your C V read,Boonboon?

teddyboy I hope you won't repeat every sentence in your book like you do here. You will definitely create more volume (pages) but may not be able to capture all your thoughts in just one paragraph. Work on that.
