Teddy, I will say this for you - you certainly have the intelligence of a typical IFA.

Teddy, Markets closed and all that jazz.

So, serious Question - who here thinks we will get numbers or guidance with numbers on Monday?

I actually enjoy the banter on here!

Also,I feel that I am providing a service. Who else will challenge the DE-RAMPERS and show them the error of their ways?

Why should they spoil the party for all those GENUINE investors?

IDP are no different from any retailer/supplier. Its just a way of life for businesses these days.

P S My oldest son is FINANCE DIRECTOR for one of biggest Drinks Company,s in the world. Before that he audited the accounts for some of the biggest companies in the UK.

I have another son who manages the advertising budget of one of the biggest internet companies in the U K ( 3 years ago he won a major Money Marketing award!)

I come from a family who understands BIG business!

How many people on this forum have run their own business .I have! (and very successfully!)

And idp will also have a 60 day payment agreement with their suppliers and manufacturers. Once you're past the first hump you only have to deal with the growth and this can be done via factorising invoice or overdraft agreements with the bankers. Let's face it if you go to your bank and say we've doubled sales last month as we have boots signed up they ain't gonna have a problem with it.

Right Teddy,
Superdrug puts the product on the shelves and pays IDP immediately..NOT!

Tesco doesn't pay suppliers until well after sales - that eats cash for the suppliers. Tesco has low working capital requirements!

That's why the direct sales route to customers is much better for IDP amongst other things.

WRONG!

I studied Accountancy and was all ready to become an Accountant when a friend persuaded me there was a lot more (and easier) money to be earned as an IFA He was right!

Hence I know more about Balance Sheets and Profit and Loss Accounts than you could ever hope to know!

You need to be careful about making statements that you cannot substanciate!

You have only to look at the daily sales figures (probably under-estimated) to realise that there is enough cash available to fund future growth and still show a tidy profit! Monday will prove me right!

One good point is that DTC sales still seems to be the majority of sales. And this is payment up front so that should help the cashflow somewhat.

teddy hasn't got a clue about 'working capital'...and that growing businesses eat cash.

BTW I just got lucky I was really close to selling whole foods markets yesterday to top up here, but I decided I'd wait till today as they were down 6% yesterday. Just been announced that they are going to be taken over by Amazon at a decent premium. Approximately 25% more to potentially invest here.

I disagree with both Boonboon and Jam4U2.

IDP must be "awash with cash" so this should have no bearing on the investment case

More of a worry to everyone on this forum should be the "workings" of M M,s.!

I probably know a lot more about this that any other person on here and that is why I am still predicting a 350P finish.( unless activity "thickens up" In a thin market the M M,s very much run the show !)

Absolutely correct Ihmms.

boonboon, the closing stock figure is deducted from the cost sales in the P&L account for the period.

Hi Boonboon - stock level increases doesn't impact on the profit and loss account- it just affects the Balance Sheet (cash down , stock up). I take it you're not from an accountancy background.
