My suspicious (maybe hopeful) mind says good news is approaching fast.
Developments out in the field are hard to keep under wraps and all that.

After watching that interview with Malcy, I am so glad I have such a decent holding here now, I threw 70K in here so let’s see what happens, it should only go one way from here

NBP day ahead gas up another 25p to 390p today, no surprise there, probably the same again tomorrow.

NBP gas day ahead 365p today, up 25p, and it's going to get a lot colder over the next week or so.

Of course the icing on the cake or indeed the cake itself will be for Southwark to come onstream as planned and if that does happen we are only weeks away now. Gas prices look set to be sky high at that point so undoubtedly the shareprice will react so long as there's no (more) slipups!


RNS 25/11/22

Final connection, dewatering and backgassing of the SBPS outer section to Southwark have all been successfully completed, bringing it up to pressure ahead of Southwark first gas

- Additional modifications were also completed in parallel at Saturn Banks Reception Facilities onshore at Bacton terminal to de-risk potential for future shutdowns

Southwark Drilling

- A2 hydraulic stimulation operations are underway and expected to continue into December

- A2 first gas remains expected around year end, subject to stimulation progress and operational risks to final hook-up and commissioning

- A1 well to be completed after A2 first gas, as previously confirmed

People are secretly buying here, that’s why it’s quiet, all those red trades are buys, as I know all mine went through as sells today! And I bought a fair few trust nobody!

Investors are in show me mode for most of the market, but doubly so for IOG which has let investors down. Gas prices are in broker forecasts, modelled I imagine as an average winter. August is a good guide as to what people will pay, especially in the UK where storage does not exist. CME has NBP at 330 to the end of Jan 23: Southwark is in at a risked valuation so if all goes averagely well then the share price does not reflect post tax profits. Trying in any way to be exact is a fools errand. Actual financials would help too even though they are backward looking.

Arden's risked valuation is 60p and as per what it said it the summer when it said the risks were to the upside despite the reservoir problems that was very much gas prices. (I haven't seen the full note so I don't know how they have risked Southwark and how much is in the forward program.)

I don't think there is much to say until we get news on Southwark. Spot gas prices are more than paying the bills as temperatures drop across northern Europe, but this is also baked into forecasts.
