The market cap is about 140 million quid based on 480,173,245 shares in issue at a price of 29p.

Very difficult to value just now.Broker notes of share price in the 40s as target do not adequately take into account the quadrupling of the has price and huge revenue stream about to come online, IMHO.

Has anyone got any market cap calculations here?

Somewhere between £500k and £1m per day net revenue to IOG on first phase at these gas prices. Then doubling? when Southwark comes in.That assumes 70mmscf/d in first phase and the max flow so far announced is over 100k.

I don't think it matters. First gas is first gas. Think of how much profit they are going to make

Agreed, so I topped up several times below 28p. The question is can they get first gas before the xmas shutdown, or will it slip into january?

Massively under valued now, especially with first gas so close

Why do I think we will be hearing a lot about Arwyn and Barra in the next update if the gas is not flowing.....

Well if these can get the gas flowing with the price where it is today they should fly! If they don't then just another Capital gobbler :-(.

Serica Energy have today announced delivery of first gas from Columbus in Q4 as scheduled, despite problems with the Shell side of things. Well done Serica!

PetomiYou are quite right. Me saying Q1 for first gas was a typo. In my head I was sticking to Q4. Will edit the post below if I still can.

Agree BH UWE has misinterpreted (not for the first tine) however probably correct though, ironically.

Yes I thought it was supposed to be Q4 not Q1, although the language changing from expected to targeting and challenging does unfortunately leave a bit of a grey area due to the change of tone.

agree with your sentiments in 140 post but they are still targetting end of Q4, albeit with the 'challenging' caveats:

"the Company continues to target safe and reliable delivery of First Gas by the end of Q4 2021, subject to completion of the remaining onshore scope detailed below."

Beginning of Q1 would be a result, end of Q1 would mean missing out on the fantastic winter pricing

You do seem to be continually happy with mediocre overpaid management performance with other investments as well e222?
Are you the big holder in AEX who I refer to as UWE?
Surely that has been an atrocious waste of time, albeit possibly a buy at current prices in the hope current management perform above "lower quartile"?

I try to avoid system 1 responses like 'grumpy' or 'happy' when it comes to my investments. What I want is for a company to do what it said. If it can't then I want a clear indication of the timescale that it can in order that I can apply judgement and make a level headed assessment of whether the investment case still holds. The frustration with yesterday's announcement is that it provided no certainty to the existence of a delay, nor the impact.

From Malcy's blog....

Life has been very busy over at IOG in recent months and as they get closer to first gas Phase 1 is still on track. A huge programme of offshore work is now complete and that part of the process has been safely de-risked with all the pipelines between Bacton, Blythe and Elgood hooked up, dewatered and leak tested, while onshore a substantial team are putting in the shifts at Bacton in readiness for that moment.

The rig repairs are going pretty well it looks like around two more weeks before sailaway from Dundee to Southwark to complete that job. Gas prices remain way over what was in the budget and with the offtake agreements with Gazprom and BP in place the company will look towards hedging policy in the new year. I personally don’t feel that investors want the company to be over-hedged but there must be a responsible policy in place.

With only weeks expected to go until first gas, something that is not entirely in their control, it seems that investors can now be relaxed enough to know that the bulk of the work is done for Phase 1 and they can start to look ahead to the rest of the extended programme.

I suggest they "got it wrong" because Perenco have failed to deliver to the previously agreed best efforts timetable. You can be grumpy and blame the company or you can be happy that the more risky phase 1 Offshore work has been completed on time without major hiccups or additional expense.

Sludge / bh - exactly my point as well - previous RNS implied a certainty around delivering in Q4 (except admittedly last one!) - and here we are mid way through - with that RNS - which absolutely tells us nothing "concrete" regarding timelines - how could they have got it so wrong (again!!).
IMHO.
