09/12/2003 08:11 | Hi All Not a bad start to the day LONDON (AFX) - Independent Media Distribution PLC said it expects that profits for the year will exceed market expectations. The comments came after it announced that turnover in the second half of the year to Dec 31 2003 is currently running 30 pct ahead of last year. This hike was fuelled by the sustained recovery currently being seen in radio advertising, combined with a continuing lift in market acceptance for the distribution of review quality music videos. This follows an 18 pct increase in year on year sales in the half year to June 30 2003. Preliminary results for the year to Dec 31 2003 will be announced on Feb 27 2004. Regards | veryniceperson
08/12/2003 16:30 | I surpose we`ll have to wait untill the end of year results before any real movement in share price... Hold...DYOR | din007
03/12/2003 11:18 | down 1p on a single trade of 50 shares with a 5p spread ? any kind soul with level 2 care to assist ? | larousse
01/12/2003 16:30 | Just another thought. At the agm the directors were voted the power to buy back about 1.5 million shares (cant quite remember the exact figure) and I dont think they have bought any so far. So there are still piles of cash in the bank. Robin | robinbell
01/12/2003 16:05 | Still very illiquid though, so any positive newsflow and press comment would see the shares spike North quite rapidly. | hastings
01/12/2003 15:59 | Thanks for that robinbell you are right, so there are a few more around than I thought. Regards vnp | veryniceperson
30/11/2003 20:02 | Very succinctly put VP. | hastings
30/11/2003 18:30 | Hi Larousse 12 months ago there were only 75% taken, bound to be a placing or rights Insure, former rather than the later methinks. Regards vnp | veryniceperson
30/11/2003 18:02 | Thanks for that vnp - very interesting - I had no idea that so many shares were in safe hands - as you say 95.981 - 96% So, 4% for you me & the butcher's dog... 1.35m shares | larousse
30/11/2003 17:43 | Hi Robinbell Last week the Royal bank of Scotland announced it no longer had a notifiable interest, but they have since come of the shareholders list on Hem Scott which is fairly good at keeping there site up to date, but Nutraco nominees are still there with there 7.50% interest. Robinbell if you count the percentage up you see that nearly 96% of the shares are held and that's with out the likes of us who also hold. Since C D brought his 1 million at 52p now 61p (nice work if you can get it) and don't forget the divi. We rung the company about 3 weeks ago because of strange share dealings going on after hours and a rosy picture was painted and all shares had a good new home. Robinbell just an after thought I don't think you could persuade some one like C D to take a million shares £520,000 worth, he knows how they are doing. 30/11/2003 11:59 | vnp I think nutraco wanted out, but you cant just dump that many shares on the market in a company like this. Whether CD wanted more shares or was persuaded to take more would be nice to know. On the same day there were two trades of 750,000 shares, also at 52p. I think that somewhere in these trades is the balance of the nutraco holding finding a new home, but because it represents 2.25% we won't get to find out who unless they acquire some more. (And its not a director otherwise it would have been annouced by now.) Further, the movement on thurs/fri on very small volumes suggests that there isn't very much free stock now. I would agree with other posters that any movements now are likely to be up. This is just my opinion and as ever DYOR. Robin | robinbell
29/11/2003 15:23 | Now even more convinced than ever that the current title tread is very applicable. Am now as certain as one can be that we will see circa 80p over the next couple of months, newsflow certain to gather pase now and.....perhaps we will be treated to a NEW YEAR present of some very interesting newsflow. | hastings
28/11/2003 19:18 | Hi Robinbell What conclusions do you make out of it Robinbell. Regards VNP | veryniceperson
28/11/2003 19:01 | There was a trade of 1,512,756 on 12th November at 52p (the amount held by nutraco nominees). The same day as a trade of 1,000,000 bought by CD at 52p. I am sure everyone can draw their own conclusions about what was happening. | robinbell
26/11/2003 23:52 | And today, The Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc no longer have a notifiable interest ! On the 20th, they held 7.69%, today less than 3%, yet the price is up 1.5p ??? So, at least 1.5 million shares changed hands... I suppose it all will come out in the wash. | larousse
20/11/2003 21:30 | Anyone see today's RNS release ? RNS Number:3040S Independent Media Distribution PLC 20 November 2003 Independent Media Distribution plc 20 November 2003 Holding in Company Independent Media Distribution plc (the "Company") received notification on 11 November 2003 that The Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc holds an interest in the ordinary 10p shares of the Company of 2,585,663 shares, being 7.69% of the issued share capital of 33,615,425 ordinary shares. The registered holders of the ordinary shares are as follows: Name Number of shares Percentage Nutraco Nominees Limited 2,512,756 7.48% BNY GIL Client A/C Nominees Limited 72,907 0.22% Enquiries Independent Media Distribution plc Ian Stevenson, Finance Director 0131 225 8335 This information is provided by RNS The company news service from the London Stock Exchange END HOLPUGQGGUPWGPU The BNY holding looks like one private client to me - seventy two thousand shares / thirty odd thousand pounds, but I'm wondering about this two and a half million shares held by Nutraco. If you search on Yahoo for Nutraco Nominees, well, they seem to hold shares in just about everything - and I always thought that IMD would be too much of a minnow for the big fish... Fetch me my hat, with salt and pepper please. | larousse

15/11/2003 22:59 | vnp, It's nothing secret, the IRS report is basically a fortnightly / three week Newsletter (tip sheet) which costs about £90pa to subscribe (IRS = "Independent Research Services" I think). They pitch themselves a little higher than a tip sheet, but essentially that's what it is. You used to be able to look at some old sample reports on their website www.theirsreport.co. If you fancy a splash, then a lady called Mrs Anne Ware takes subscriptions on 020 7827 5451 - I'm sure that she'd send you a sample or something. IMD usually warrants a couple of lines - if that - so it's not going to be a mine of new information for you. Anyway, now you know. The guy who comments on IMD is called John Snowden. | larousse
15/11/2003 22:08 | Hi Larousse Over a beer on Friday night, Hastings and myself were talking and we would love to know what the I R S Report is, can you please enlighten us. Larousse just take note of what Hastings says in his first thread. | veryniceperson
15/11/2003 09:13 | Independent Media Distribution said that Charles Dunstone, a non-executive director had snapped up 1 million shares at 52p taking his holding to 4.004961 shares or 11.9% of the company. Dunstone of Carphone Warehouse fame is, of course, completely loaded and this is small change to him but it still impressed dealers who marked IMD's shares up by 6p to 62.5p. | din007
