14/11/2003 16:53 | Cheers larousse, i think that we could well see a push on to 70p over the next month now. | hastings
14/11/2003 16:41 | Hi Hastings, The IRS Report this week mentioned that there was / is a broker's note in circulation, valuing IMD at 84p. IRS didn't mention any more about the note, other than to say that the valuation was about 20p too low (in their opinion). Anyway, good news to start the weekend! | larousse
14/11/2003 15:10 | Very interesting to note that Mr Dunstone has now added to his stake, i daresay that despite what would appear a hefty rating he is aware that the recent T.V. deals with the likes of the BBC and ITV will now begin to generate serious revenues and underpin what is already a succesful growth story. I would expect some very good newsflow in the not too distant future! | hastings
14/11/2003 13:48 | Well here is a million of those shares 14 November 2003 Independent Media Distribution plc Directors Notification of Interests Independent Media Distribution plc ("IMD") announces that it received notification yesterday that on 13 November 2003, Mr Charles Dunstone, a non- executive director of IMD, purchased 1,000,000 ordinary shares in IMD at a price of 52 pence per share. After this transaction, the interests of Mr Dunstone in IMD will amount to 4,004,961 ordinary shares, representing approximately 11.9% of the issued ordinary share capital. | robinbell
13/11/2003 19:20 | vnp how many of the 4 million traded yesterday (12 Nov) at 52p were down to you. Robin | robinbell
09/11/2003 19:57 | Thanks for that one - you're spoiling me now :) Here's to lottery wins & IMD growth. Somehow, I think the latter is more likely... | larousse
08/11/2003 13:44 | Hi Larousse If I were the £2.6m ticket holder I would buy 4 million shares in IMD, Get a seat on the board and invite you to sit in as well. Regards | veryniceperson
07/11/2003 22:25 | vnp, so you weren't the unclaimed £2.6m ticket - or the 'good cause' it went to, then ? ta for the dates ;) | larousse

06/11/2003 23:14 | It sleeps between results din, they report twice a year, that's about it. I watch too, and I'd love to eat my words, but I think anything exceptional is unlikely before early March (full year results). Unless VNP drives the price up, with another big purchase ;) Fortune favours the bored. Also, I think I can see the classic 'sleeping policeman' pattern forming in the chart. | larousse
06/11/2003 22:53 | Price seems to be prity much static at the moment. Hope we hear soem news soon to insure a upward climb.. Some strong results from their TV section would sends things rocketing... Anyway, this is one to watch... DiN007 | din007
31/10/2003 09:55 | Many thanks Larousse..... | din007
30/10/2003 23:56 | Wasn't the ex-dividend date 08-Oct-03 ? Record Date was listed as 10-Oct-03 I think. As I understand it, if you were on the register of holders, with x number of shares, on that record date, then you will get the interim dividend posted out tomorrow at 0.55p per share held. | larousse
30/10/2003 15:17 | Hi, I know this stock is going Ex-Div on 31/10/2003. Does anyone know if their was a qualification period, if so what? I purchased the stock 28/07/2003. I still believe that IMD will explode once the TV side takes-off. We`ll just have to wait untill the next announcements.... Anyway many thanks in advance for all your help, DiN007 | din007
17/10/2003 14:06 | When are the next updates due? Hopefully they are due this side of the year and IMD can turn north. DiN007 | din007

If you have any, I have some not many which is a shame. Good luck Good evening larousse you may find it interesting too. I know its the IMD board please forgive me Regards | veryniceperson

13/10/2003 15:11 | Dear , Many thanks for you very sensible advice... I only hope all people were as honest as you... Many thanks in advance, DiN007. | din007
12/10/2003 00:02 | Hi Din, I appreciate the sensible way that you worded that, but beware: It's not that no-one's interested, it's just that tipping is a poison chalice. There are hundreds of opportunities on these threads, but very few are dead certs. Once you buy in, you become biased you can't help it. Speaking from past experience, whilst owing shares, I only want see the good news in fact, interpreting any kind of news as good is par for the course. Conversely, once I'm no longer a holder, all those negative doubts, suddenly come to the fore about that 'dog of a share' that I'm now well rid of. If I knew which to pick, I'd be wondering what colour of Audi A8 to buy. As it is, I'm sat here typing this. There are shares on this BB, which are pushed by passionate, genuine believers (and some sharks, I'll agree), which can never achieve the hoped performance. The hard bit is sorting the good, from the mediocre & plain ugly. If you like, I can give you a sobering list of the companies that I've lost money on - it's pretty ugly reading & adds up to a disturbing amount. I have another list of shares that I've sold too early & then watched soar. You can be sure that whenever someone mentions a company on here, they have a vested interest. Try to beware of hot tips. Generally speaking, if something is worth buying today, it's worth buying in a month or two - often at a better price if the CFD / spread betting punters are behind the 'hot tip' posts. I honestly believe that the majority of contributors here are genuine people, who just hope to make some extra money in the market (and that doesn't always have to be at someone else's expense). However, it would be naive to suggest that there are no cliques or syndicates who discuss strategies offline, take positions and then have a concerted posting effort across multiple BB's. Threads have been known to change - before the advent of the author editing option - and sometimes disappear completely. Unfortunately, your last post makes you 'sheep to be sheared' and I used that term purposely, because I have heard it mentioned in the past by people who also spoke of private mailing lists. I'll happily tell you some of the shares that I own, and my reasons for holding them at the moment (much like VNP did with his mention of Lidco (LID) on the other IMD thread), but my best share tip would be to look at everything three times - and if you're not happy with any point - however trivial - walk away. P.S. I wish I followed my own advice. | larousse
10/10/2003 02:27 | Hi, I`m new to shares and mostly get my tips from the IC(Investors Chronicle)and other share/imvestment magazines, papers and discussion boards... IMD has been reviewed by IC a number of times and has a business model/market that people can understand easily. I belive with the move into the TV content market and with so much more media moving onto a format that is easily transported over networks. IMD will benefit quickly from the investment they`ve put in. Basically I agree with you and and woundering if you have any company that you wound advise a novice to take a look at...I understand that people need to do their own research will take your advice as a pointer/guide towards another interesting company. Many thanks in advance, DiN007 | din007
08/10/2003 21:53 | IMD has proved to be my best perfoming share this year to date. I still think the story has much further to run over the next few years. | sir walter rally
03/10/2003 12:14 | Hi Larousse Cashed Strapped, me to at the moment, tax bill January must start saving. We will be O K with IMD won't we? Regards | veryniceperson |
