02/10/2003 23:01 | That looks interesting VNP. Unfortunately, I'm maxed out at the moment & there won't be any new cash purchases for a while. If I bought, I'd have to sell something else to fund the deal. My biggest holding is IMD & I don't envisage selling any in the short term. I'll bear it in mind though & add it to my watch list. Thanks for the tip. | larousse
01/10/2003 22:33 | Hi Again Larouse Larouse have a look at a company called Lidco (LID) I brought in at 12p they are now about 17p. There interim results were last week and there sales were up 70%, they are still losing money but should start to make money next year, they have very good products. A very good friend gave me the tip about 4 weeks back and showed me reports from two big brokers that say they could be 70p in 3 years or less. Please take a look and see what you think. Check out the results and you could get lucky. Hastings, Robinbell and Sir Walter you have a look to. Sir Walter there is a very good storey here methinks Bet your wondering why I passed on this tip, its because I am a veryniceperson. Regards | veryniceperson
01/10/2003 22:31 | Hi Larouse Thanks for your post; your thoughts are very interesting. These are my thoughts. IMD is a young company only been listed 18 months. The first 6 months they released news about trails with MTV for sending videos, which was, as we know, successful. A year on and these are now generating revenue. The new trails for mainstream television and I quote (which requires expensive reception equipment at each destination together with very substantial telecom bandwidth). If these are successful then future growth will run into many millions of pounds. Once this has been established then I can't see any reason why they can't set up in any other country. If a large media company came along to gobble it up, I think (and I am not greedy person) we could be looking 80 100 million, they certainly haven't nearly anywhere reached their peak as yet. regards | veryniceperson
30/9/2003 13:43 | Hi all Nice to see IMD share price stabilized after last weeks 3.5p rise overall. Hope I haven't spoken to soon. Regards | veryniceperson
26/9/2003 07:48 | Thanks Larouse But 2006 & 2012 seems like a life time away Thanks again | veryniceperson
25/9/2003 23:56 | Hi VNP, I think that's a Grant of options, exercisable between 2006 & 2012. Let's hope that 60p is a good price then ;) | larousse
25/9/2003 19:56 | Hi again The directors are buying, must have been reading my last post. Must be a good omen just keep topping up. Regards | veryniceperson
25/9/2003 17:22 | Hi All 2.5p drop in 2 days; hope price holds tomorrow, still looks good for a 10 bagger. Keep topping up COZ ONE DAY you no? Regards | veryniceperson
23/9/2003 00:10 | Hi, When are the results due? Nice 5.5% rise today.... Many thanks in advance, DiN007 | din007
22/9/2003 08:10 | Look set for a good rise this week, sales up more than 25% and thats without the rapidly growing T.V. mkt. | hastings
21/9/2003 20:40 | I feel a 3 4 point rise this week, fingers crossed. Regards | veryniceperson
15/9/2003 00:36 | Well rightly or wrongly i picked up 42k at 53p on the day low. | hastings
14/9/2003 20:30 | he who dares wins, wodney ;) | larousse
13/9/2003 00:59 | There is a misquote in todays Investors Chronicle It states the sales for July/August were 25% of the comparative period instead of up 25%. I believe this may be the reason for todays fall. Robin | robinbell
12/9/2003 17:05 | larousse That was pretty much the entire comment in IC. It was just in the summary results section. Robin | robinbell
12/9/2003 13:45 | Thanks for that Robin. I wondered if we had hit some date for the employee share scheme or such. Your explanation certainly makes more sense, but that 63k trade is the worry. Would someone make a 30 odd thousand pound trade on the back of IC small print ? Did they have much else to say (in the mag) ? If it drops any further today, then I may contradict myself & dip in. | larousse
09/9/2003 23:36 | larousse Thankyou Regards | veryniceperson
09/9/2003 20:40 | May the force be with you VNP. | larousse
08/9/2003 20:59 | Hi all Had a look at the results again at the weekend and decided to dig deep this morning and top up with some more, soon be up to a 1% holding (I wish). Like the look of the advertising angle and also the 25% in exsess Sales increase for July/August. Should see another 10 to 15% rise before year-end. Is there anybody else there apart from Hastings and Sir Walter hi guys or dolls! Must go now its dinners. PS Just keep topping up you no it makes sense. Regards | veryniceperson
03/9/2003 17:41 | Hello all Sir Walt, Hastings, you have said between you every thing I have thought about the results, apart from the forward PER from Hastings. They always tag a little something on the bottom to wet your appetite. Will hold these shares for a few years or until somebody buys them out, but will be at a great premium for lots of £££ per share.I shall copy and paste the results so when you fill down you can look back at them and cheer yourself up. So here they are. INDEPENDENT MEDIA DISTRIBUTION PLC INTERIM RESULTS FOR THE SIX MONTHS ENDED 30 JUNE 2003 HIGHLIGHTS Accelerating Growth in Sales and Profits. * Sales increase to £1.55m. up 18% * Pre-tax Profit increase to £0.61m up 37% * Profit after Tax increase to £0.43m up 37% * Increase in net Cash to £2.5m up 25% * Interim Dividend increase to 0.55p up 22% Growth in New Services * Television Music Videos capture 75% of Potential Market * Successful Trials for New Television Broadcast delivery service. Second Half Lifts Momentum * Sales July/August increase exceeds 25% David Haynes, Chairman commented: "These excellent results follow from renewed growth in the radio industry and strong uptake of the music video service for the television industry. The Company's policy of continuing technical development of core products has improved profit margins by controlling costs within an expanding sales environment. It is particularly noteworthy that the major technological requirements of the new video service are common to the core radio service. Trials for the new service to distribute to television stations certain of their broadcasting needs commenced in July 2003. This is a most important development for the Company and initial response has been positive from both music and TV companies. A decision on full rollout will follow completion of detailed testing. Next year, broadcast quality television has the potential to generate revenue not only from music but also the larger markets of advertising and programme material". Lovely Jubley Regards | veryniceperson
03/9/2003 09:02 | I agree, a very goood set of interims. The story is unfolding very well. TV revenues will add significant momentum through next year. Well done IMD. IMHO | sir walter rally
03/9/2003 07:55 | Results out and very good, cash strong, divi increased and trading excellent. Forward PER around 12, much much more upside to come. | hastings
31/8/2003 14:23 | Did you know that Douglas McAthur is a director at IMD? Neither did I, but it's good to see that the pipe & ray-bans found a safe home after returning to the Phillipines. Yes I am bored. Last line of the RNS release that came with the full year results - "Further plans for the expansion of TV services will be reported on in the half-year report". Something else to look for in the notice this week... | larousse |
