18/1/2024 17:13 | Okay ali46 I was not saying the Chairman could not afford to buy stock, what I was referring to was based on earnings/salaries the board do not draw sufficient from the company to be able put their hands in their pockets to buy any substantial number of shares. Their salaries I believe, I read in the report, were based in part on performance, well to date that has been poor, so they cannot be expected to buy until they prove their ability, and even then I do not expect them to buy many as the top salary with benefits, bonus and pension was circa £134k with the chairman at circa £21k After tax/ insurance etc what is that worth net in the UK. | clocktower

18/1/2024 14:32 | So you think the Chairman couldn't afford to increase his holding.... | assagai
18/1/2024 14:12 | Well Assagai PR costs money and is it not better to use funds directed towards potential buyers. The company have been quick to update the website will the major holding. I do not think the current directors earn sufficient to stomp up for shares in any number to be fair, and if they could afford to the company woulds be overpaying them as they are not producing result to date imo. Maybe things are changing and Mr Packwood is aware of the company's potential, or he could know of a big new client or be one even. TB (Braveheart) would not have bought into it sub 1p if he thought it was doomed. | clocktower
18/1/2024 13:49 | Shame that once again no PR or reach about new product launch but why am i not surprised. | assagai

08/1/2024 20:36 | Dear Assagai, it is many years since we last spoke, but reading today your current position I just wanted to put on record my immense gratitude for your support of IGE both whilst I was an active part of the company’s management team and for the many years of your continued support after I left IGE to explore new opportunities. It is a sad day for IGE to have lost your support, but as always I respect your decision. | nickdfox
08/1/2024 19:46 | I lost faith in the company after their planned corporate move was stymied by the large Asian shareholder (mid 2018 IIRC). I strongly suspected that they had trouble with their Asian security oriented customers, but in conversation was assured that was not the case. Shortly after it became apparent I had been right, and (IMO) I had been falsely reassured. It's difficult for a company to know what to do if a shareholder smells a rat. The company can't give confirmation if they haven't told the market, but to quote some ancient lawyer, while a fishmonger is not obliged to cry 'stinking fish', he may not falsely cry 'fresh fish'. | gnnmartin
08/1/2024 18:26 | Well maybe TB has taken a little less than 20 years to realize that this company is not in any way shareholder focused. Even when the share price gets trashed the Board don't send a signal to the market saying "our company is undervalued". They don't buy more shares. The Board hold 1,404,561 shares. The Chairman's is 378,300 of that. So why would they care what the share price is??? Bill Mawer still holds more than 3 times that combined total and he's retired!! However Bill would always keep in touch with me explaining what the company was doing to support the SP That coupled with the minimal PR backs up the basic point. As long as funds are there to pay the wages , that's all that really matters it seems. Don't get me wrong, I think Vince is probably doing what he can to drive "enough" sales but there's just no buzz. The company is doing ok but they seem to be missing anyone working in the Razzmatazz dept. Having supported the company over the years (fundraises) to the tune of 6 figures (twice) i find myself looking at retired years with no golden egg from IGE. My only hope now is that they are bought at some sort of premium to the share price Even the largest shareholder is still underwater years after their original 2p investment. | assagai
08/1/2024 17:02 | I just thought I would post the link in case they might be getting into this area at some point in time. Assagai - I very much look forward to hearing what you have to say. With TB selling down, things must not look to bright imo. | clocktower
08/1/2024 16:29 | As far as I am aware, IGE do not sell any medical products so this article is not about their product range. | walt_29
08/1/2024 14:32 | Ali probably because it isn't Image Scan's product. I will answer your question above soon! Just need to be sure i am ready to close the door on a 20plus year relationship with the company first before i speak my mind. | assagai
08/1/2024 12:59 | clock how come no reference to IGE in the article - is this their product please | ali47fish

19/12/2023 13:07 | so anyone knowing this one well enough to comment where we are- changes directions unpredictably | ali47fish
13/12/2023 10:35 | I will never understand market responses to news. I accept IGE’s result were not awe inspiring, but they were in line with market expectations so why the sudden massive dump of shares and the subsequent drop in SP? | walt_29
12/12/2023 09:03 | Well it's not lived up to all your expectations. Stock down, cash up and revenue up but margins down. Still the outlook is better than it was a couple of years back. A but of creative accounting to make these figures look a bit5 better than they really are though imo. Maybe TB might buy more now. | clocktower |
