#IGG has a Gap above 680p - if it can get 'into the Gap' it could rise to 730p quite quickly.

That's today's Bread & Butter 10 points in the bag (ok 9) but that'll do :))

Nice to have you join us, coxsmn. Made some good profits in the 2017 rise and hoping to repeat the experience. Co-relation between the RSI, momentum and shareprice charts above is quite illuminating (and encouraging), I feel.

I've bought a few here today, after doing some checks this looks like a good opportunity.

I managed another 755, no more cash left today, after selling 550 NG. for a small profit.

Looks like I was a bit too keen this morning, now looking for where to find more cash.

I enjoy chasing small cash on Index SBs, just to pass time on a wet and or cold day, but as you say it's so cheap trading within a tax free wrapper these days that's where I also place my main cash - Picked up another 1037 IG this morning, I've made a good few K on these this last few months.

I'm not interested either. I did very little spreadbetting anyway. I did make money, but I found I'm better suited to trading shares. The only advantage to me was the tax-free status, but as the majority of my portfolio is now in my share ISAs (and SIPP), it is less important to me as I'm paying very little tax on my gains and dividends as they're nearly all sheltered within.

They've tried several times to convince to go pro but there's no way I'd touch it !

I don't think they thought that at all - apart from anything else, there are valuation criteria for 'professional' status that - clearly - many would have no way of meeting, even if they could satisfy other criteria.

IG is still usable for spreadbets with increased margin and I also use it for my ISA (zero charge except dealing), SIPP (zero charge except dealing and managed by James Hay for fee) and regular share dealing (no charge beyond dealing) accounts.

I think they counted on being able to convince most punters to turn Professional without realising some even many wouldn't want to go down that path due to Tax implications!

I for one have had to look elsewhere for the odd spread bet or I simply Buy & Sell within their low cost ISA..

The problem here is that they underestimated the effects of the legislation, hence the fall.
My guess is that this is the real reason Peter Hetherington had to step down.

... which was known about for ages beforehand (see previous big fall, late 2016). Another great buying opportunity, imo. Wouldn't be at all surprised to see this over 650p shortly, plus great divis while you await full recovery (like last time).

Seems very undervalued imo. What is the reason of big fall few weeks ago?

Used to have an effect but imo. now everything's controlled by Fund Managers via preset algorithms the effect is diminished because only PIs even notice the Buys.
