Well, you'd have to be pretty stupid to leave cash in your account and do no trading for 2 years!

was hoping this would stay steady at 600p, but seems the carnage at PLUS is taking it's toll ?

For what it's worth, from Shore yesterday (page 6):

"Analyst Paul McGinnis retained his ‘buy’ recommendation on the stock, which a ‘fair value’ price of 800p. He has upgraded his recommendation twice in the past five months.

‘The negative share price reaction on both the December second quarter update and then again on the interim results in January, on barely any change to our forecasts, created a couple of excellent trading opportunities,’ he said.

‘However, we think there is more to go for as new growth initiatives will help IG to close the gap to our 800p fair value.’"

Still, on a 52 week basis Plus500 is down less than 1%.
Perhaps a correction was overdue anyhow. Good old Peel Hunt had this as a buy on just 1st Feb.

Analysts eh? - don't cha just luv em!!

That's about it, Gamesinvestor. Decent para summary.
I use them for ordinary trading (their 'phone support is good and they have a project to improve the software interface) - they are rolling out this activity, Interactive Traders main competitor, safe divi - only things I would add.
Unfortunately I got up late this morning or would have increased. Well done on your timing.

Seemingly an overeaction - stock price recovery - managed to get in at 569 to add to my holding.
New on here, just registered and trying to get to grips with the message board system, very different to ii.

Despite the regulatory issues I feel, rightly or wrongly, that IG is still a good company from the perspective of having a highly profitable business, is global, has no real debt or pension issues and is capital light.

Puzzling how and why the CEO issue was not handled better - they should have announced the new one before the old one resigned, or maybe it came out of the blue.
I also worry about the Chairman who seems to have been everywhere and is on so many boards he's spread too thinly -- I'd prefer it if he had much more skin in the game in terms of his time commitment and a more decent shareholding.

Enlighten me if that's a wrong judgement.

There's an argument that PLUS built out an awful lot of its business on crypto trading which doesn't make IG as direct a comparable as the market suggests, but as usual the market is going to shoot first and ask questions later.

Can't access the webscast on their investor website. Couldn't access it live yesterday, and can't access the recorded version today. Is it just me? I have registered my email. Still won't let me in.

I halved my holding yesterday and repurchased today, the Divi looks solid and imo, the business looks to be set to expand during 2019.

Has been on my watchlist also....but i have bought (back) in this morning. Don't think there was anything unexpected in the results to justify the 10% fall!

Also like the yield

We shall see....

On my watchlist - no current position.

Peel Hunts view: A share price fall has boosted the yield of IG Group and the derivatives trader is expected to grow revenues. Analyst Anthony Da Costa retained his ‘buy’ recommendation and target price of 775p on the stock despite shares falling ‘significantly’ in the last six months on ‘concerns around low levels of volatility and the impact of leverage limits’. He said the ‘dominant player’ had a focus on sticky, high-value clients that takes it away from regulatory focus and ensures a ‘steady flow of spread revenue’. It pays out 70% of earnings and increased its dividend last year and is expected to yield 7.5% due to the share price fall. IG Group is in a good position to benefit from emerging volatility and reduced competition as regulation bites,’ said Da Costa. ‘Additionally, its strong cash conversion supports an attractive yield exceeding 7% for 2019.’

I'll pick these up below 500.

I am barely trading CFDs now because it needs too large a deposit. I suspect people will be trading less hence a more bearish view.

Good luck my little kitty cats.
