01/2/2022 17:49 | netcurtains why don't you sell up, wait for the market to have the massive correction its probably going to have and stick it in Pearson and some other similar company where demand is more inelastic, defensive and operates in a medium to longterm growth area. It may also provide some excitement! Good excitement. Of course I would feel bad if this shot up afterwards if you did take my advice | ![]() she-ra

29/1/2022 15:37 | BH: I'd remove the above post if I was you. You should not let people know at what price you are going to close a short. You'll end up causing a rush and a short squeese - (remember GAMESTOP). Good luck all shorters and longers. Hope everyone does well in their respective time frames. | netcurtains

28/1/2022 09:54 | It would be great if the IC magazine did a follow up from their previous mention for IGR and let us know after their research whether they think its a BUY at these prices (after the not so good trading update). Going back in "far history" (eg 2014) IC thought it a BUY (high 80s) for recovery. And indeed it did shoot up. Can same thing happen from here? That is the gamble | netcurtains
28/1/2022 09:43 | Thanks darrin1471. Yes done some research. Some interesting things re: MARKET CAP linked to TURNOVER (from update this is still growing fast and is now a $1 billion plus turnover company). MARKET CAP linked to NAV MARKET CAP linked to cash CASH (eg we have apparently about £40m) MARKET CAP linked to near NETNET (eg remember EVE BEDS and FRENCH CONNECTION ) MASSIVE PERCENTAGE FALLs and what happens NEXT???? MARKET CAP linked to profit warnings. Answer depends if followed by Director BUYS in next few weeks (after dust settles). To profit in these bounce situations one has to take a risk. Not sure how much of a risk at this level but who knows how far a $1b turnover company can fall before its bought up by management or a rival. RISK REWARD RATIO?? the ball is in the BULLS court, it really depends what they want to do with it. | netcurtains
28/1/2022 09:33 | netcurtains: Are you able to research historic NAV vs mkt cap and what happened after previous profit warnings. Any idea where the increase in NAV has come from since 2015 I started reading the old results and advfn posts last night and it appears IGR traded significantly below NAV for several years after 2007 | ![]() darrin1471
27/1/2022 22:07 | Ha ha, bit late to tell us now Blackhorse23, if only you told us a few months back! Anyway, lets all try and get the bounce! Good luck team bounce. 😎😎 | netcurtains

27/1/2022 16:50 | she-ra: I guess you're watching. For me, inflation is a good thing, it will enable them to raise prices and get away with it. I think its got bounce written all over it. Lets see. Its all good clean fun. 😊😉 | netcurtains

27/1/2022 15:42 | Thanks - but that is my point, you're looking ar running costs, I'm looking at its net worth. Its a different perspective. I'm saying its worth LOADS (big positive NAV value) you're saying but be careful because RUNNING COSTS are a potential problem. Its a risk-reward ratio and from where we are now, the bull/bear index tends to suggest that the ball is now in the bulls court. It depends what they decide to do with it. | netcurtains
27/1/2022 15:38 | The accounts are a point in time, i.e that day. Thats the problem with a balance sheet. In the financial review scroll down to "average leverage" and you will see how they explain that their business is seasonal and that they carry an average net debt position. | ![]() she-ra
27/1/2022 15:24 | looking at the accounts over 3 or 4 years: The difference between BIGGEST and LOWEST assets is £100m The difference between BIGGEST and LOWEST liabilities is also £100m since the assets are historically always bigger than liabilities (in all accounts on line) they are cash positive and have a positive NAV. Note this link gives half years: (check if foryourself). Please provide link for your counter figures? (I think you might be thinking in terms of CURRENT assets and liabilities not ALL assets and liabilites). Eg I'm talking what the company is worth (eg £100s of millions) and you are talking day to day running costs. Thanks | netcurtains |
