Not quite all bull.

‘Tastytrade is on track to deliver revenue growth of more than 30% in 2022 and 25-30% a year over the medium term, supported by cross-selling internationally and new product innovation, with upside to targets from US Federal Reserve rate hikes.’

For me this is important bearing in mind what is being talked about interest rate wise

More worthless broker bull, imo.

Perhaps these should come with a message like cigarette packs:

Warning - this may damage your wealth

Think this may be of interest:

Jefferies is upbeat about the prospects for IG Group (IGG) and its takeover of options trading platform Tastytrade after meeting with co-founders of the latter, Tom Sosnoff and Kristi Ross.

Analyst Martin Price reiterated his ‘buy’ recommendation and target price of £11 on the spread betting company, which acquired Tastytrade for $1bn earlier this year.

Price said the ‘key takeaway’ from his meeting with Sosnoff and Ross was ‘that the business is continuing to deepen penetration of the US retail options market which is still growing strongly’.

IG's share price always fluctuates between Dividends, because capital gain is moderate and interested parties that know what they're doing simply wait for the inevitable drop before adding a few more to their holding.

Activity fluctuates, the level of share trading or spread betting is not constant. When an inevitable slowdown occurs, IGG suffers. These cycles have happened before and will again. That much is guaranteed but we cannot know the timing.

Of course activity never stops completely but in practice it takes only a certain amount of slowdown in revenue for profits to be massacred because of the continuing costs of runnning the business, as those costs don't fall as much as revenue.

Anyone who thinks that market volatility is going away this autumn, or by winter, or even at any point in 2022 for that matter...needs to share with me the bottle they are drinking from! :)

A one hundred grand director buy is of sufficient magnitude to be not just for show. This bout of autumnal volatility must be excellent for business, even if one is incapable of reading the latest trading statement.

The steep drop is a buying opportunity for long term holders. Traders might want to wait for a catalyst. (I'm in the former category

No real reason to buy atm, things will warm up as we near the next set of results.

I agree. Personally, I do not see trading activity dropping significantly though, because volatility is a long way from disappearing - and IG and similar outfits obviously thrive on such instabilities and fears. Regulatory changes are always a risk, but that has been the case since day one, so not something that is a particular threat right now, as far as I am aware.
