28/1/2022 09:16 | Both events are likely to weigh heavily on IGG. In my opinion nearly all share price moves are random or noise as it's sometimes termed. This is one of the rare exceptions. | anhar
28/1/2022 09:15 | Looks like the drop is due to 15m @780p sale which set the price for today, rather than the news about Robinhood. | slopsjon2
28/1/2022 09:12 | I believe xd is 03 February with payment on 04 March. The IGG website is awful for locating dividend dates. It just doesn't have this info as far as I can see, which I'd expect to be in the Financial Calendar. This currently shows "No upcoming events". Pretty poor for a large company. | anhar
28/1/2022 09:01 | Tastytrade is no Robinhood either is IGG. Robinhood is another overpriced US SPAC not a proper business. Adding more here as drop is unjustified. | coxsmn
28/1/2022 08:53 | Divi is 3rd of February. | slopsjon2
28/1/2022 08:29 | Wow didn't have to wait long to buy my shares back 90p cheaper! | prokartace
28/1/2022 08:25 | IG Group slumped on Friday after shareholder TCMI sold 15.5m shares in the online trading platform. | yf23_1
28/1/2022 08:24 | "Robinhood stock falls 11% in post-market trading after it reported massive $432 million loss in the fourth quarter - far more than analysts predicted - as app's CFO says customer trading has dropped off since height of pandemic boon" | slopsjon2
28/1/2022 08:23 | Someone wants your shares! | uhound
28/1/2022 08:21 | maybe something to do with Robinhood? saw a headline yesterday. Just got a few, Ex div on 2nd feb aswel believe? | theprovosts
28/1/2022 08:18 | Hi, does anyone know why the big drop? Thanks | dagoberia
27/1/2022 20:31 | Switched into easyjet almost 1-1 today | nobilis
27/1/2022 19:34 | IG has tended to do better than the market expects - shares have only underperformed when regulatory clouds have gathered - and today is no exception. | eigthwonder
27/1/2022 16:06 | Yeah, I've held IGG for very many years and it's been a good investment both for the all-important income and also delivered a good gain, though that's not why I invest. I think I mentioned some weeks ago thatI sold the majority of my holding, though because it had grown substantially over the years, the rump I hold is still quite large. I got out of most of my IGG for two reasons. I'm a little concerned over the future of the company in a serious downturn in activity when I suspect tasty may prove to be very sour. I've lived with IGG before in recessions but that was when it was just a spreadbet bookie, and that was bad enough. Also, I wanted the cash to reinvest in a new and much higher yielder. | anhar
27/1/2022 16:01 | Anwar, the only reason I have ever considered IG is because of the income. I have however managed to double my stake money on a couple of occasions:) | prokartace
27/1/2022 15:46 | prokartrace: Anhar, sometime in the last 18mths IG said they would not increase the dividend until earnings grew enough to justify it, The yield is already one of the best in the market What they said about divis with the 21 annual results is: We have commenced a review and update to our capital planning framework, which we will discuss in the coming year. Consideration of shareholder distributions, alongside other priorities such as current and future regulatory capital requirements, operating capital requirements, and organic and select inorganic growth opportunities, will be the principal areas of focus. A somewhat ominous comment perhaps, as far as divi increases go. The divi has been static at 43.2p for four years now and the latest interim shows no rise. In the annual 21 results the divi was covered 2.5x by adjusted eps, far more than most large companies. In these latest 22 interims, the 12.96p divi is covered 3.9x by adjusted eps. Hard to see then why the cover is considered inadequate. Maybe they'll increase the 22 final... As for the yield, unlike the divi, it is outside the control of the company since it depends on the share price. All this matters to me more than some others perhaps, because I'm purely an income investor. I find it a little odd that they have demonstrated quite good figures, with tastytrade doing well as it hasn't hit the inevitable downturn yet, but they have refused to up the interim payout. | anhar
27/1/2022 14:34 | A very happy holder here. Wish I could say the same for some of my other stocks! GLA. | lovewinshatelosses
27/1/2022 13:53 | Anhar, sometime in the last 18mths IG said they would not increase the dividend until earnings grew enough to justify it. The yield is already one of the best in the market | prokartace
27/1/2022 13:03 | A little disappointing that the interim divi was not increased, given that it's very well covered by eps. | anhar
27/1/2022 12:51 | T,Yes, results and eps are very pleasing. Dividend on top. | coxsmn
27/1/2022 11:40 | I have decided to sell the shares I averaged with when the share price was depressed leave me with my core holding This gives me the flexibility to do the same again should we see any weakness | prokartace
27/1/2022 10:49 | I disliked the tasty trade acquisition at first, but now I think it's a license to print money. | jimbo123elf |
