15/9/2020 17:03 | Anybody have any guesstimates for Thursday's Q1 revenue figure?
Based on the increased client numbers, city folk still working from home, and decent market volatility, this shareholder's hopeful for a revenue figure exceeding £200m. But not sure whether that seems over-optimistic - what do others think? | sir bean counter
11/9/2020 10:10 | It would be nice to close above 800p today, especially if it offers some sort of support.
I always use a laptop, I prefer the Old layout because the New one doesn't allow a complete view of both Watchlist and Open positions, as for reliability, it's been down on the odd occasion but I'm willing to put up with that now there's no commission charge. | gbh2
11/9/2020 09:50 | Most CFD company like IGG or CMCX bags huge profits from market volatility which is happening in this month. With regards to platform, I am using IGG mobile app, it runs smoothly so far touchwood. Seldom buy or sell on its website using laptop so got no comment in its reliability. In general, I am happy with their service simple and works. | blueflex2
10/9/2020 10:00 | IG letting down the whole sector, could be a tree shake but! | gbh2
05/9/2020 08:58 | I was out yesterday afternoon and it looks like the bottom fell out of the sp, was there any obvious answer because CMCX was soaring. | gbh2
02/9/2020 21:16 | gbh2 r.e. 2616 - me neither, and a good description. They are just people, our own interests are significant factors. No one gets to board or senior management level by charity. | hpcg
02/9/2020 19:12 | Agree with hpcg, IGG my number one choice. | royaloak
02/9/2020 10:40 | LOL, there's not a Boardroom in the country that has folk I'd trust!
I may back them but Trust is out of the question because they're all in it for personal gain, any share holder gains are purely incidental. | gbh2
02/9/2020 09:19 | hpcg - Why wouldn't you trust Plus500? I hear what you say about fees, but I'm interested in your trust, particularly in the context of the multiple outages that IG has suffered recently. | simplethesis
02/9/2020 07:50 | Purchased a few more during yesterday's dip, looking forward now to the run up to ex dividend date. | gbh2
30/8/2020 17:35 | Personally I wouldn't trust Plus to hold junk mail for me despite them being FCA regulated. I also wouldn't have though the user base would have the money. There can't be any serious users with their limited offering and extortionate foreign currency fee. I use IG spread bets to amongst other things feed the ISA (Spreadex just for cash). The share market offering is excellent, better but complementary to HL, and unlike HL their currency conversion is done at near enough spot. No commission for US shares and DMA too, so one can avoid getting front run by an HFT. Having said that competition is fierce. | hpcg
30/8/2020 07:13 | Plus could cause profit problems for IG if/when it goes ahead with launching a Share Trading & Dealing Platform! | gbh2
24/8/2020 16:07 | Today was a hiding to nothing, I've set a sell to catch the next one! | gbh2
22/8/2020 00:06 | Brokers ruling the waves at the moment | growthpotential
20/8/2020 07:05 | Investment interest abysmal atm. | gbh2
12/8/2020 11:51 | This should pick up as it approaches ex dividend date, 30.24p is still an attractive figure imo. | gbh2
10/8/2020 19:24 | We will never time it perfectly, there is a good payout coming up and it's a great company full of potential | growthpotential
10/8/2020 19:20 | All aboard this rocket ship | growthpotential
05/8/2020 12:01 | Gbh!-According to the Julie Felix Telegraph article 2000 number of staff are working remotely - that could explain that situation.Working from home | jimbals
04/8/2020 14:09 | GBH, no different to many of the other platforms I'm afraid | prokartace
04/8/2020 08:31 | Just waited 10 minutes for customer service to answer the Phone, they're Hopeless and have little to NO understanding of the words Customer service! | gbh2
03/8/2020 16:57 | Big article about Julie Felix ,head of IG in today's Telegraph but no mention of Stuart Wheeler who founded IG more than 45 years ago. Without Stuart Wheeler there would be no IG, pity he did not get a mention. Sadly he died a few weeks ago Daniel Hannan wrote a marvellous obituary about him | jimbals
30/7/2020 16:47 | Spitting B -I agree with you as I have been involved with IG since it started. I have bought some through Spreadex as I cannot buy through IG being an investor with them. I have no spread bet shares as I am very apprendsive re the Stockmarket - my only position is Gold, which is doing well. | jimbals
30/7/2020 15:17 | The yield here looks good, there may be lots more volatility but I've just bought some, it's a well run company. | spittingbarrel
