Exactly, royaloak. IG is my main platform - I think the service is generally excellent - only let down by a marked slowness in paying dividends.

If you find a product that you think is good and you are happy with then consider having a few shares in it.

Q1 revenue of £209m versus consensus revenue forecast of £591m for the whole year is a very good result.

SP suggests expectations are ok, but not great.

Edit, maybe ok was a bit strong given today's drop.

Anybody have any guesstimates for Thursday's Q1 revenue figure?
Based on the increased client numbers, city folk still working from home, and decent market volatility, this shareholder's hopeful for a revenue figure exceeding £200m. But not sure whether that seems over-optimistic - what do others think?

It would be nice to close above 800p today, especially if it offers some sort of support.

I always use a laptop, I prefer the Old layout because the New one doesn't allow a complete view of both Watchlist and Open positions, as for reliability, it's been down on the odd occasion but I'm willing to put up with that now there's no commission charge.

Most CFD company like IGG or CMCX bags huge profits from market volatility which is happening in this month. With regards to platform, I am using IGG mobile app, it runs smoothly so far touchwood. Seldom buy or sell on its website using laptop so got no comment in its reliability. In general, I am happy with their service simple and works.

IG letting down the whole sector, could be a tree shake but!

I was out yesterday afternoon and it looks like the bottom fell out of the sp, was there any obvious answer because CMCX was soaring.

gbh2 r.e. 2616 - me neither, and a good description. They are just people, our own interests are significant factors. No one gets to board or senior management level by charity.

LOL, there's not a Boardroom in the country that has folk I'd trust!

I may back them but Trust is out of the question because they're all in it for personal gain, any share holder gains are purely incidental.

hpcg - Why wouldn't you trust Plus500? I hear what you say about fees, but I'm interested in your trust, particularly in the context of the multiple outages that IG has suffered recently.

Personally I wouldn't trust Plus to hold junk mail for me despite them being FCA regulated. I also wouldn't have though the user base would have the money. There can't be any serious users with their limited offering and extortionate foreign currency fee. I use IG spread bets to amongst other things feed the ISA (Spreadex just for cash). The share market offering is excellent, better but complementary to HL, and unlike HL their currency conversion is done at near enough spot. No commission for US shares and DMA too, so one can avoid getting front run by an HFT. Having said that competition is fierce.

Plus could cause profit problems for IG if/when it goes ahead with launching a Share Trading & Dealing Platform!
