24/4/2023 20:20 | A poster on LSE called Laura has said that the house broker, Canaccord is due to issue a broker note and apparently it will say the company is still intending to pay a dividend of 23.8p and is intending to relist in the States. Does anyone have access to such a broker note or know whether this is reliable information? | bensdad2
24/4/2023 18:59 | Perhaps someone could put that issue to the guys who are speaking this evening in the Mello event - if it is not too late. Their advertised slot is at 7.15pm. | bensdad2
24/4/2023 18:56 | There is always the possibility that one of the funds decides to bring a legal challenge: 'A shareholder who can establish that the affairs of a company are being, have been or may be conducted in a manner that is unfairly prejudicial to the interests of members generally or of some part of its members (including at least himself) may apply to the Royal Court of Guernsey (the “Court”) for an order. The Court, upon being satisfied that the shareholder has established a claim, has very broad powers to grant relief, including making orders regulating the conduct of the company’s affairs in the future, requiring the company to refrain from doing or continuing to do the act complained of by the applicant ... . In very limited circumstances, a shareholder may be able to ask the court to bring an action on behalf of the company against its directors.' If such a claim were to be commenced, an application could be made for an injunction to prevent the meeting being held, until such time as the claim had been heard by the Court at trial. | bensdad2

24/4/2023 16:45 | Key point you missing 'it will no longer be', until then they are! | zen12
24/4/2023 16:44 | Zen , I don't subscribe to the theory that the aim cancellation will be reversed - I suspect the holding % is too big and it will simply follow through what has been mentioned - | tomboyb
24/4/2023 16:43 | Yes if the cancellation was reversed then you could expect an instant 5-bagger from here. However normally the only way that cancellations get reversed is if they (unexpectedly) fail to get the 75% majority they need to vote for it. The major shareholder here has 82% so there is zero chance it will be reversed IMO, unless that shareholder changes their mind for some reason. A dividend of 50% plus is very tempting, but I think the behaviour of the big shareholder suggests that they'll find some way to shaft any remaining minority shareholders once it's become a private company. If it was remaining a British company subject to British laws then it might be different, but they've gone to great lengths to emphasise in the RNS that it will no longer be a British company and will have limited transparency or accountability. So I'm not tempted, but risk-lovers might be. If you do take the plunge, make sure to get your shares certificated!! This costs about £50 via any decent broker, although I don't know if the cheapo execution-only brokers provide that service. Good luck, no advice intended etc | cyberbub
24/4/2023 16:40 | Reckon we are close to getting the overhang cleared. Let's hope we close above 60p tomorrow | kirk 6 |
