Not adding to much at the moment, even after the falls we have had, but Ibstock I have added to today. Crazy price... |
Agree. With Forterra hovering around the 280p mark, this would be comfortably north of 230p just by a normal comparison unless there is some underlying advantage FORT has that we are unaware of... probably north of 240p. |
Strolling Well spotted. Just read it. Looks like they putting up a bit of a decoy. Will be paying more attention from now on. |
Well that's a bit naughty, they actually reduced and that is where the fall came from, how easy it is to fool private investors when they fill the RNS out incorrectly |
Actually I missed the fact that Vulcan has been invested here for a while, and held 7/8% in February:
They have a similar-sized amount of Forterra too... |
Interesting for Vulcan to be building a stake here:
"We are value investors—business analysts with a long-term time horizon focused on purchasing publicly traded companies that are competitively entrenched at significant discounts to intrinsic worth." |
Agreed, have been slightly wrong footed by the pullback but keep adding here and there |
To be fair i sold 12000 when the price dropped to 226 so have now bought back and all the indicators are extremely oversold. Two chances, will make a profit quick or over the next 6 months, who knows. |
20m. And someone has of course been selling |
Thanks, that explains the drop whilst they were filling the order and nothing untoward happening with the company. Happy to hold then. |
Yep. Postion before - nil. Position after 5% which is just over 2m shares of the 409.56m in issue Vulcan Securities based in America |
I honestly can't read these RNSs correctly, is this saying they had no position before? And now have 5% If so great, if not I don't understand the RNS |
Where the share price is going, is anyone's guess.. I've stopped following. |
By the way not many mortar mixes today are 1/3 cement. Old school that mate far too strong |
Wad collector did you put up that gable wall that fell down a couple of days ago! :¬) |
Brick work uses mortar not cement fortunately, and is mixed from mainly sand, most cement is in foundations or precast products, won't affect bricks too much. |
Most of my bricklaying is without cement, is that why my houses fall down? |
oh I think its good news without a doubt |
Also builders will pre order to get price fixed now and stop the price inflation. So again good news. |
Well doesn't that mean that they can't make them fast enough? Well that has to be good news? |
blocks delivery is now August.
Can you lay them only if you can get Cement
