Fandangle,

Interesting that you call some of you fellow posters resident rampers despite the fact the i3e has had and will continue to have materially positive news flow.

And yet you seem to be pushing Kistos - other than the CEO's reputation - why should anyone jump into Kistos - surely doubling up on i3e makes more sense?

From LSEA small update opinion piece from WHI - 16th JulyToday 08:08FIRST LIGHT i3 Energy (i3E) – Corporate – Operational Update Market Cap £121m Share Price 11.1p i3 Energy announced yesterday at 8:37 that it has completed the second well in the Marten Hills Clearwater drilling programme targeting the 25m thick Clearwater C sandstone (porosities ranging from 24% to 27%). The company indicated that from a single wellbore at the surface the company has drilled 8 horizontal laterals for a total of approximately 12.6 km of reservoir penetration at depth of circa 630m. As with the first well, the second well penetrated clean upper shoreface sands. I3 Energy indicated that the rig is now being demobilised and tie-in and equipping of the wells is expected to take five days following rig release. The company is targeting first production from the two wells to be achieved in late July. WHI View: The successful drilling of the company's first two Clearwater wells on time and on budget is a noteworthy achievement. i3 Energy has developed an exceptionally strong reputation as a deal making entity, and we have seen that as an operator it has been highly successful at optimising production and at increasing production via low-cost well interventions and recompletions; we are now seeing i3 Energy emerge as a driller. From that perspective the initial success of i3 Energy's drilling campaign points to the potential of the company to create tremendous shareholder value via the drill-bit – particularly given i3 Energy's strong cash flow and its large number of well locations

Spangle,

Interesting posts there chap especially the blog post. Suggesting the effectiveness of waterflood on the clearwater wells, something the company has hinted at too.

Kaos,

Yes the wells are cheap, the multi well campaign from Nov-Jan will cost just $7m to I3E for around 7 more of these multi-lateral wells. To have eight legs covering a large area of the reservoir would be low impact as its all done from just one surface location (per well obviously). Best way to get this low API oil out. The waterflood is interesting too as if they use surfactant it could have a dramatic increase on the recovery of the heavy oil.

Regards,
Ed.
