Jail,

Yes that's a possibility for sure. They did say in several interviews that they'd look at acquisitions that change the dial in terms of speed of growth. I'm here for the revaluation of the company, divis are just a bonus, and if that means acquiring assets on the cheap for future growth then I'm all for it. Increasing the acreage around the Clearwater and Simonette etc are perfect ways to do that. Also the company mentions things like installing new pipes so they can pump more production and lower transportation costs etc so these acquisitions mean more than just the initial flow rates and reserves.

I don't mind dilution like some do if it makes a material difference to the company. The upside in terms of additional deve drill locations makes the acquisition and dilution look like a no brainer. So sure any more £40-100m acquisitions in this area for similar economic metrics I'd more than welcome. It would be a bit better if the share price started to reflect the growth though, then complete. I.e. a 20-25p share price VWAP would be more realistic for the next one. That would still be cheap for 18500boepd+ and 132mmboe. Who knows we may have cracked 20kboepd by then. I certainly wouldn't rule out additional small acquisitions from cash too. Lets wait and see, there's some very active months ahead just from what the company has told us.

Regards,
Ed.

Ed Do you see more acquisitions via dilution ?We thought cash flow and dividend would be no more dilution and be using debt as a financing instrument But here we are again !

OD,

The acquisition makes perfect sense as it consolidates the acreage all around I3E's core assets, almost doubles production, almost trebles reserves and adds $193m NPV for just £40m. It had nothing to do with the special dividend.

Also Special dividend level not altered for holders before the acquisition, you must have missed the dates released today:

Net Dividend: 0.16 pence/share
Ex-Dividend date: 15(th) July
Record Date: 16(th) July
Payment Date: 6(th) August

New shares as a result of the material acquisition won't be issued before 28th July. So divi amount to current holders remains unchanged.

Interesting that we're now lagging a little behind Canada again which closed at 12.4p.

Regards,
Ed.

OK. Organise a dividend of 2% and then do a 30% dilution with a capital raise.

Yeah/no it makes complete sense.

OH don't forget to pass go and give divi to new placees!

Hi Spangle,

I see the divi per share rising. I3E again in the new presentation have suggested more acquisitions. So not only has the NOI risen from circa $44m to $75m but some of that will be used to acquire more low cost reserves, also much bigger budget to carry out reactivations and other ways of upping our huge production base. Already the increase in NOI is more than the dilution to acquire. NOI has increased by 70% and dilution by around 50%. Also they're not going to be sitting on their hands:

Majid Shafiq, CEO of i3 Energy plc, commented:

"We continue to execute on our business plan which is to build and grow a material and diversified production business through the most efficient deployment of capital, whether that is through exploitation of opportunities within the Company's existing portfolio or through accretive acquisitions such as this one. This transaction not only scales up our cashflow, but it will also, in the near term, lower our unit operating costs, increase third party tariff income and add scale to i3's expanding list of varied development opportunities, which will materially increase our options to both grow the business and manage risks."

So yes as a result of these new opportunities I'm expecting the divi per half year to keep increasing along with the production and reserve base. They're certainly on a high growth curve. There's likely to be more of those small acquisitions and farm ins for less than $5m. Look what they've done this year alone, the $75m NOI makes that easier. So yes I'm expecting the special divi to be the smallest and growing from here on through the interim and final divis. But we'll see when the time comes. In the mean time they've lots of stuff to get on with. Presentation shows how much to be completed in July.

Regards,
Ed.
