Oil discharge permits are issued for any number of reasons. Anyone pretending to now why its been issued on a forum like this is.....well you make your own mind up.

The Offshore Petroleum Activities (Oil Pollution Prevention and Control) Regulations




The options available in the Oil Discharge Permit SAT for the discharge of oil are:
System Sub-system
Wells Drill Cuttings
Drill Fluids
Well Intervention
Well Test
Well Clean Up
Well Abandonment
Other

Theirs plenty to read in the .pdf but its longer than a twitter post so many of you will struggle.

I agree with you there, some clowns would have jumped on your earlier comment to say its a duster or water hole..... Personally this could only go up from here all my research and maps I have looked at indicate ridiculous amounts of oil which will blow up the share price.... Again its my research.

Well i think you have to be balanced here.
Let me give you another example.
205/26b-14 well ('Lincoln Crestal'). did the same multiple permits in the same time frame and they hit big, so the message is ODPs application do not really mean anything at all in relation to end results.

Do you have details of the new permit? The truth is no one knows and we are all guessing..... Personally I am expecting good news but that's me, I cashed in big on 88E when people were talking about water and a few shorters were made bankrupt but then 88E messed up in the next drill and did get water..... Without getting into this debate with anyone, I respectfully disagree with your thesis.
