Don't think they would have participated if equity raise at much lower prices

Getting a junior debt facility is a plus - I'd imagine it is JCAM again to repeat their previous play as we haven't been told for some reason.

The JV update is the usual wishy washy nonsense. I'm glad they've addressed it but leaving it completely open ended is poor as it removes any urgency from the supposed 'additional parties' and probably alienates any parties that may have already shown an interest and made themselves known.

I think it is probably all still about Repsol and i3e moving heaven and Earth to try and accommodate them and their restructuring which the whole purpose of the JV process was set up to avoid.

Either that or there is insufficient interest to set a date which would be a worry.

The Company had intended to set a bid date in February but has decided to extend this process to accommodate a number of additional parties who have requested data room access. The Company will optimise the bid date to ensure all bona fide counterparties are allowed to complete their due diligence within an expedited time frame

They are revisiting the funding with a combination of Junior and senior debt. The junior debt will be for the summer drilling and the senior debt will kick in once LP2 in the summer is successfully drilled, capped and ready to produce in 2020. It's a fall back position imo or part of a combined JV/funding to limit the amount of equity that would need to be given to a JV partner.

Finance/ debt facility would be the obvious option if funding jv is not secured. I believe they already have an agreement with a bank for $25m loan?

The issue is NC should have been doing what MS is doing now soon as the bids for 30th round were closed to applications. This has caused a setback and obvious uncertainty as to why the one party at the table would not close the deal. At this stage, if data-room parties are not forthcoming with reasonably good offers for a slice of the cake, I3E are probably better off going with finance/debt facility against Liberator etc. How else are they supposed to get this moving forward if the industry is not forthcoming?
