Edgein,I concur, an increased Divi (which looks nailed on by default anyway) plus some level of buybacks to remove the paper, this reduce cash leaving business. I'm quite happy for nextyears programme to include a mix of that.As Tony has pointed out here and lse, the Canadian oil producers have some level of buybacks already.Cash

Don't know what all the fuss is about, management here are doing a cracking job. Drilling meeting or exceeding expectations. Not only replacing natural decline rates but increasing production by an expected 6500boepd this year. This will ultimately lead to higher dividends. Gas prices strong again in Canada and we get even higher netbacks on our growing liquids production, so its all good imo. Yes the share price should currently be about 2-3 times where it is now, but hopefully news before year end will rectify at least part of that. Moreover, next dividend this week, happy days. If they want to do a modest buyback next year fair enough but I want to see the vast majority of that growing NOI going into drilling.

Regards,
Ed.

I think people can disagree about the magnitude of any likely near term rise, whilst agreeing the catalysts exist for such a rise to occur.

Traders will be very much disgruntled at the SP's non-action.As a holder, it is part of the Aim market up and down.If I am not selling, why would 20p or 25p affect me?I am looking for 42p within 2 or 3 months.hopefully, by then, we would have had December, and January & the special bonus.Gl all

People have a real choice. Please do your own research.Look at EOG and how it has gone, now look at i3e.Both had the same NS drill.i3e got plenty of production & hedged sales behind it as the pending RNs will prove that production has mushroomed as per the BoD projection. In the meantime, be Calm & Collect the dividend.Ps; Add when you can.Gl all

The 45k B at approx 1135 is mine. I have quite a lot now, so if this were the bottom it would be good. Who knows.

TPI,

I would welcome a slight increase in Divi (likely to happen anyway as they based this years on paying out for 10months). However, that doesn't address a falling oil price scenario - WTI today at $74 and still falling. That divi could become unsustainable if it keeps falling, even with increased production - given the decline curve of the wells, its a constant battle.

What shareholders, especially insti's, will look at is not just cashflow, but EPS and Yield. One of the best ways to maintain Yield at a robust level is via buybacks of shares that are cheap - the oil majors do this all the time. JSE and other small medium producers are doing the same. Not only does this tighten the freefloat, but also alleviate pressure on cash payouts for dividends, not just in that year - but every year after aswell. Buybacks can be done in conjunction with a smaller, focussed, Capex budget and slight increase to divi - which as above, is likely to happen anyway.

If they maintain strong yield in a falling price environment - they will gain greater interest from yield hungry insti's.

Diary,

Buybacks are for a short term rise ?

You've misunderstood what they are used for by the likes of BP, Shell, Chevron.

If its short term rise you want, you go for dividend hikes - not buybacks.

That's good.

I urge all shareholders here to contact or message the company (Lets face it, they not doing much in the UK with all Ops are in Canada) and make clear to them Returns over trying to increase production like they have this year (33% increase as we close the year out). It would be better if we start cleaning up the freefloat and watch EPS improve and the Div yield improve by default before a dividend increase is considered.

All they need to do is increase production by 10-15% and that will hold, or even grow production a little. Quite happy to go with that.
