08/11/2002 14:44 | INCH is straining at the leash today....volume isn't that hot though..best wait for a close above 700 bid before longing this IMO. SBT looks ok today...wouldn't suprise me to see it drift back toward the low before taking off. Any ideas out there today? | ![]() indalo
07/11/2002 13:33 | Well done on LFS Matt... I'm looking at SBT for a long...seems to have found some buyers after a heavy fall..volume was negligible yesterday and good today on the intra-day reversal..taken a small position for now. | ![]() indalo
07/11/2002 07:37 | RMC looks a good buy from here. Nice double bottom in place, with macd divergence. Sitting on the 20 dma,and ready to move thru the 50 dma. A strong break thru 425p should see it up to 475p...gonna long it today | ![]() nirvs
06/11/2002 17:03 | Indalo - Another 10% and it will be CFd'able. I loathe using full service broker but had to in this case. Too good to miss! | ![]() matthewa
06/11/2002 16:55 | Slightly below spreadbettable market cap...but will cross the magic mark (£50m) on a breakout, so I'll keep it on my monitor. Cheers Matt, keep 'dem ideas coming! | ![]() indalo
06/11/2002 16:48 | Indalo - Good Point - Its not that widely traded though | ![]() matthewa
06/11/2002 16:37 | Good one Matt....looks a likely long...but any thoughts on the light volume on the engulfing candle thingy today? | ![]() indalo
06/11/2002 16:19 | Longed this yesterday @ 1.10. Couldnt CFD it so T Traded OMSL only taking T+3 which is a great sign. This is going to recover sharply ahead of impending results. LFS is the gem in the sector - No Debt - Good Retention of Clients - High NAV - Good Yield. Its fall has been sector driven rather then specific. LFS's resutls have always been right in line - I shopuld know Ive been burned shorting these before! If any company is going to be bid for I think LFS rather then HOL FTF. Look @ how well AKC has revocered after PIZ has been bid for. This is a similar siutation. . | ![]() matthewa
05/11/2002 23:35 | indalo- excuse my lack of research, but if inch are anything to do with cars then becareful. | ![]() theape
05/11/2002 16:39 | got my beady little on acm at the moment. may well be a bid target. watch the volumes. | ![]() theape
05/11/2002 16:38 | I took a small long in anticipation on INCH...bad manners I know, but will add if it does indeed break upwards. I've looked at HOL and agree with you about the likely bid price..but decided that as profit warnings tend to come in threes there may be another before too long...I can't see operating conditions improving, and unless a bidding war is forced I think the bidder could get them cheaper by waiting..If they announce that no revised bid has been made, they could really tank..so on balance I think I'll steer clear for now. | ![]() indalo
05/11/2002 16:06 | Sorry indalo, I did look at it yesterday ........ just didn't feel it was a buy unless it broke 703 to the upside yesterday. Have you looked at HOL? Imo if there is a revised bid on the way, it's got to be for at least 130p based upon the revised analyst forecasts and realistically for around 140p - 150p. | hilary
05/11/2002 15:56 | ......deathly silence with occasional tumbleweed........ > > > > > > > > > > > ....shall I get my coat?? | ![]() indalo

04/11/2002 14:40 | New Long Today:-INCH Price 690 *Directors have spent £100k on stock in the last month between 690-780 *Divi 4.3% and rising at 15% pa.....also well covered (at least X2) *H1 profit (Sept') AFTER tax £38m...VS market cap £525m...H1 EPS=46p (that's basic...NOT "headline"...or "adjusted"!!)..anula *Strong balance sheet *Support at 640 looks rock solid...
