The long term support line for HCM on the NASDAQ is around $30 to $31 so we are either at, or very close to, the end of this reversal...... IMO.

thanks mad.......big volumes seem to occur prior to major news...hmmm...I still have the view that the amount raised during the recent placing is far bigger than is required for pipeline development, I suspect something else is on the cards

I continue to Buy, as ever

Very big volume today after the US rise. Two big trades have gone through.

Monday I will be buying on AIM and in the U.S.

I have ADR's which are held mainly in my U.S. pension

My goal is to have 10,000 shares (which I used to have 8 years ago!) - clearly I wish I had kept them!

There are major material updates due, and I remain extremely curious as to why we raised over $300m when our short to medium term cash needs are almost certainly much less, especially give the cash generated by the commercial arm, the property compensation due, and the milestone payments, which will increase.

I still remain of the opinion that some kind of deal is afoot

We also know Lilly did not take up their global rights to Fruquintinib in April 2017 so they have another chance in early 2018, but will need to pay more. If they do take them up expect a large milestone payment!

Chart looking identical to a month ago: gap up, a couple of very positive days on high volumes, then some very little drift down. A good time to acquire.

Delist from AIM?It's pretty incongruous that a company with a market cap of over £3bn should be listed on AIM.GW Pharmaceuticals decided to leave AIM in Dec 2016 because they recognised that dealings on AIM were minimal compared with those on NASDAQ.GWP is actually valued at around £2.7bn,so less than HCM.I would like to think that HCM might step up to a full UK listing in due course. However,if HCM did delist, then it could be a problem.Brokers have varied approaches to delisting. Some are quite happy to seamlessly facilitate a switch of an AIM holding to a foreign listing equity but others, notably Barclays are not prepared and are not set up to accommodate their clients. This is because they really aren't "global" brokers dealing in foreign bourses. If HCM delisted from AIM,some would have little choice but to sell their AIM holding.Whether ISA status might be compromised would be inconsequential.

in the meantime, a nice quiet time, no dramas, hopefully a period of share price stability for a while eg. no more rises for a while would be welcome

I agree with steeplejack, the Company is bid proof because HHHL owns 60% and bought the majority of the recent placing.

The Company's management and its largest holders know that the business will, over the next five to ten years, be worth many multiples of today's valuation.

I could see a deal, whereby a Celgene, Gilead or Lilly buy rights to an unpartnered late stage drug such as Sulfatinib, but I doubt HHHL will be interested in a bid for a long time yet.....I hope.

My most recent share price forecast was £53 by the time of the FY17 annual results announcement in Q1 next year, which was reached yesterday, based on a fairly complex model, it will be £250 per share by 2026 for anyone planning to still remain invested!

I use Hargreaves lansdowne, no problem with US shares in ISA.

Thanks for reply. Would expect most full service brokers to be able to accommodate such a change.

Repitle3 - you can hold foreign shares in your ISA, I certainly hold USA listed shares in my ISA like Visa, Nvidia and FB. Hope this helps

kinkell..... Nerdofsteel has suggested the company may delist from AIM in the future and trade solely on the NASDAQ where most trading currently takes place. My concern is that AIM listed HCM shares held in an ISA would then be converted to ADS's and tradeable only on the NASDAQ. Questions arise as to whether my broker (or anyone else's) can handle the conversion and also provide a platform for trading on the NASDAQ. For example, I'm pretty sure Saga can't or wont do this. Then there is the question of whether an ISA can be applied to a share which is only traded in another country (the USA). I intend taking this up with my broker (TD Direct)and will post their reply if I get one.

I doubt any company is bid proof nowadays. But long may HCM stay independent rather than taken out in infancy, I only bought it at around GBP 42 per share. Looking forward to steady increases over time rather than one-off bid premium.

I wonder whether Glaxo are thinking of a bid here? It has been something that has been raised in the past and they could do with a new pipeline desperately

Reminds me of Glaxo which enjoyed a spectacular run from the early 80s to the end of the century.
