30/3/2017 13:17 | That's the point no one knows if it's true so how can anyone give you RB twitter account?? | bigdazzler
30/3/2017 13:10 | What is RB's twitter handle? | stepone68
30/3/2017 12:57 | and there is the small matter of raising finance. However, it will all be okay, because there is a lot of oil here. | cinques
30/3/2017 12:56 | but there is a lot of oil here, even with an iffy DST. | cinques
30/3/2017 12:55 | Dudishes RB's tweets are getting pongy, for sure. | cinques
30/3/2017 12:30 | They are presumably trying to maximise its impact at the capital markets day planned for next week according to RB | arcadian
30/3/2017 12:06 | Hyper Al Actually CPR reports give out too much information generally. It allows bidders to know what exactly is under the bonnet and gives them a chance to get a company on the cheap. And yes it's confidential except in the real world it's not. | davidblack
30/3/2017 11:53 | WD Tel et al, from 9p to today, wonderful win for many. One will out for now as something does not smell right. My opinion, take or leave it. GL | dudishes
30/3/2017 11:36 | ngms27 30 Mar '17 - 10:22 - 17966 of 17983 0 0 THE BIG FELLA, if he's doing that he's breaking the law and could face imprisonment. If's he's not you likely just made yourself guilty of defamation. ··&mid What about that Aussie B··&mi | rutter
30/3/2017 11:33 | Well personally at this stage I don't count the account as being genuine until proved. So the comments on there hold no water for me. | bigdazzler
30/3/2017 11:28 | bigdazzler, I doubt it is a false account but have no proof either way but the account includes posts from 2015 about IAG bid for AERL, Thorntons, Northgate and first Hur one in oct 2016 | garymegson
30/3/2017 11:26 | Bigdazzler. You are right that there is nothing to authenticate the Twitter a/c in question, but equally, there is nothing to suggest it is fake. I my view if it was set up for more sinister purposes I would expect it to be a great deal more active. As with all these social media sources, especially Bulletin Boards, 'pinch of salt'. | farmscan
30/3/2017 11:24 | Nice gentle recycling going on this morning that bodes well assuming that CPR is inline with expectations. | davidblack
30/3/2017 11:23 | The CPR rules give comfort that it's done properly, in a consistent mannner to enable comparison, in a format whereby bankers can raise money against the project and hopefully in a technically honest way that gives a fair and reasonable assessment of the assets. Non standard "CPR" type reports are one of the ways in which shareholders are defrauded by dishonest promotors. So I for one am happy to the CPR coming only when the competent person is happy to sign off and put their Professional Indeminty insurance on the line. | davidblack
30/3/2017 11:20 | Farmscan30 Mar '17 - 08:54 - 17942 of 17978 4 0 RB Tweet: "Next week also promises to be an important and exciting one for Hurricane. Updated CPR report and a Capital Markets Day." I not being funny but everyone keeps talking about RB tweets. Is there any proof it is the person they think he is. I.e. The real investment advisor for CA fund. There is no link on the CA website that I can see for RB thus at this stage my conclusion is to assume it's a false account. | bigdazzler
30/3/2017 11:09 | nice breakout pattern forming | fatnacker
30/3/2017 11:02 | Hyper, Everything you say I think is true, but also it protects shareholders in what the company publishes isn't hyped. It also would be valuable in any data room negotiations I'm sure. | che7win
30/3/2017 11:01 | Hyper Al 30 Mar '17 - 10:56 - 17975 of 17975 0 0 What is a competent person report (CPR)? I see this as a paper exercise to keep within procedures. OK CPR may work well for the normal oil reservoirs, but I doubt very much in this case that it will deviate from what the company already knows ...I assume you're new to the game. Have a look at the last CPR, it's on HUR's website, assuming you've got a few hours to spare. As you say, it won't "deviate from what the company already knows" - LOL!!!! - but does put all the tchnical info out there for us mushrooms... | thegreatgeraldo
30/3/2017 10:54 | To be fair to CA they may be ramping up the shares a little PR wise but does anyone here disagree with the substance of what Mr Bernstein was saying. I don't. And yes they may have sold 40m shares but they remain huge holders and are likely to be here long after many other people have left the field. Frankly it's good when a fund manager is happy to get behind a stock and public ally say this one is "Great!" As to his selling I just wish it was done via steady placing by the house broker. Yes they would have to be paid but CA would probably get a few pennies more in the Ling term. Most importantly without CA we would never have seen the success that there is here to so let's celebrate their success, and ours! | davidblack
30/3/2017 10:45 | Always get sellers it is the way the market works. Does it take away from how significant the news was, no. HUR closed at all time highs this week near all time high volume. It hasn't gone up as much as people wanted but expect it will be a lot higher over the coming weeks. CPR news is just a bonus. | ileeman
30/3/2017 10:44 | You make a valid point. The other factor being overlooked is pretty much every other oiler has lost 10 / 20% shire price during the recent oil price fall. HUR hasn't so in relative terms it's price performance has been significantly better than the sector ave. | the big fella
30/3/2017 10:38 | ILeeman - well yes, fair point; the volume testifies to a lot of excitement amongst some people. But the selling also suggests others are not interested in holding (or possibly able to hold) their shares. In the meantime, the deflationary effect that's had on the share price in the face of arguably much more significant news than the CPR is likely to deliver, means I think the market will greet the CPR with much less interest than if it came on the back of already feverish share price action. Just my opinion - and very happy to be proved wrong! | terry hardacre |
